Don’t necessarily think no news is bad news.....look what happened last year when it was daily stories in the press.Think this time they’ve made sure there are absolutely no leaks.Think Bein are quiet as well, no feeding Bein Jacobs etc with stories. I think they may not wish to stir it any more in the hope of a deal with Saudis Arabia.They need their revenue. Ashley not sacking Bruce imho is another sign the takeover might be close. Personally think we’ll hear something positive(or negative) towards the end of the month.Ashley then has to decide what to do with Bruce if nothing is forthcoming.

Agree with all that.I still believe FA hasn’t done anything about Bruce cos he thinks the takeover will happen shortly (whatever that timeframe means). Looks like we’re all looking to SA for the next move.

Personally think the Forum is a poorer place without him, whatever your views are.There should always be a place for strong views by the likes of Whitley.There is a difference between his points of view and people who are constantly on forum to wind up members.

I'm not going to argue or (try not to) talk shite, but why can't we have both views expressed as strongly as they want.I'm from the highly positive camp and revel on any indication by members of news/tweets/hearsay on the takeover. There are just as many people with the complete opposite view that these are bullshit and don't warrant healthy discussion.That's fine, everyone is allowed their own views on this subject. Personally think a ban is the wrong step to take. If I'm fed up of reading anyone's particular stance on the subject I simply stick them on my ignore list for a week. TBH if it’s the only way of stopping him from picking the team and being in the dugout, I’d take it for the short period of time. Pretty convinced anyone else in the dugout would get more out of our players than Bruce. Still think there’s enough quality in the team to get enough points for the rest of the season, as long as Bruce isn’t anywhere near the players?

Appointing Jones makes sense to me.......I believe(I know) that takeover is imminent....though that could still be a few weeks or month away.....meanwhile Ashley doesn’t want to spend money(not his...but the clubs) on sacking Bruce and perhaps the new owners have intimated that they will be appointing their own manager when takeover is accomplished......So Ashley appoints Jones as “assistant manager”......if he’s lucky he’ll have immediate impact and results improve....if not, Bruce gets the push, Jones takes over as temporary manager.....new owners appoint new manager but keep Jones on as first team coach.....Ashley happy, Jones happy......US....depends where we are in the league?.....its a risky choice, but no way Ashley is spending any more money than necessary......If Jones is appointed this way, perhaps expect a couple of loan signings.....NO WAY is Bruce going to be given any say in the next 2 weeks.....Anyway it’s a half decent theory.
