My mistake….was just thinking of the final
-
Just leaves George Cohen,Bobby Charlton and Geoff Hurst, I think.

Sad as i may be……working on law of averages…….for every million bullshit tweets, one will actually be believable.?

I don’t think/hope any of us “ positive’s” would gloat when/if the takeover happens…..Personally I would be so ecstatic after such a prolonged nightmare, I would just be happy for all of us whichever side of the fence your opinions were. At the end of the day we all want the same thing, it’s just that most of us are just exhausted with it all and quite frankly I totally understand people’s doubts that the takeover will ever happen. When/ if it happens let’s ALL celebrate together….there will be no need for any “ I told you so” from either side of the discussions.?

Cos he’s now part of the so called “elite”
-
And a 9 hole golf course.
-
Correct…..but if the verdict goes against the PL, then let’s see what happens next.
-
Thanks for the Positive Outlook?

Would love us to be a proper club again…From BBC earlier. Villa donate cup gate receipts This is a fantastic gesture from Aston Villa. The club have donated their share of the gate receipts from Tuesday's Carabao Cup tie against Barrow back to the League Two club. Couldn’t imagine Ashley’s Newcastle doing that.

OK we’ll agree to disagree on what constitutes a WUM……I’m only suggesting that ManorPark may have completely differing opinions and very strong views on what he believes will inevitably happen with the takeover but imho, he doesn’t deliberately set out to wind up readers and therefore try to invite strong backlash for his posts. There are some posters who’s only aim is to antagonise…..i don’t believe ManorPark is one of them.
-
He’s not a WUM…you may totally disagree with his opinions (that’s your right) and you may think he is completely wrong with his assumptions but ManorPark has been around this fansite for 14 years and contributed an awful lot to this, especially his memories of times gone by………Criticise his positivity but don’t call him a WUM.
-
Yep in the other thread….but in this thread CAT will go ahead, despite the PL trying to block it, They will then bottle it as they have too much to lose by allowing everyone to see what they have done in the last 2 years…..Amanda will eventually receive the keys to our glorious club and we will all live happily ever after.

From BBC Website. Premier League still the 'most competitive league in Europe', says chief executive Masters Masters has dismissed the idea that England's top clubs are pulling away from the rest of the division. "I don't think that is the case," said Masters, asked if the gap was widening between the top clubs and the rest. "It certainly hasn't been proven yet." How does he get away with such bullshit and is never questioned or grilled by the Media. ……Cos the Media are also in love with the “supposed” big 6 I guess.

Crikey….just read that….it’s only the Daily Star mind you, but if it’s correct then that’s my positivism dropped a few knots?
-
Ok fair doos…..think it’s getting to all of us?
-
Kind of you to express your opinion in a Positive Optimism thread…even if there not much of it floating about at the moment?

There were too many questions on the latest development, for both sides of the argument to come up with their own spin on it. I couldn’t argue with the thoughts of the doubters as they may well be proven correct, however for me, there is enough in these developments to keep me firmly in the positive camp….i wait over the next few weeks/perhaps month and expect more to come out about the recent events.
-
I have no evidence either side of the argument but i just don’t see this weeks developments as a major setback. a) Why has MA and PL agreed to the movement of arbitration till 2022 b) if this was as negative as everyone suggests then why has MA and his media team not made a big fuss/issue about it c) 6 months seems a long time to delay Arbitration…..perhaps MA has a good reason for delaying it for so long……I’m not privy to the reasoning but it seems a strange length of time. d) If the takeover was really “dead” then perhaps we would have heard from AS/Reubens/PIF by now. e) We would definitely heard from Bein Jacobs and Hairy Hands if this was the final nail in the coffin. Like i say i have no reason to be Positive after these developments but i also think that there is more to come about the takeover. As many have pointed out, best we let this theatre play out and hope for some good news in the not so distant future.

Thanks

Showing my thickness here…and last question…..Why is there a hearing over jurisdiction…Surely the Judge(S) or whoever arbitrates CAT, only need to look at both responses to the jurisdiction case and make a decision as to whether CAT has the right to deal with the case….or is that too simplistic.
-
So does that mean we have to wait x amount of time for a hearing to decide on the jurisdiction issue…then if the hearing goes against the PL and CAT can go ahead then we have to wait, again, x amount of time before the CAT hearing goes ahead……Is this the timeframe

In your experience is 6 months delay normal.
