    9) They had that Shearer, but we had Kevin Phillips.
  4. Liverpool winning is the best outcome either way i think. It guarantees Europa League, but it means the shackles are off us and we can go into the last few games with freedom. Not quite, Chelsea winning the Champions League buggers it up, unlikely but possible. If they turn over Barca and Real, I'll eat my hat. More chance of seeing a Mackem in Milan tbh.
  5. Blackburn FA Cup. Not a league game, sorry. You said we hadn't won a 3PM KO in 2012. We have. Checkmate, Stu.
  6. The one I'm most worried about is Everton away. I think we can beat Citeh at home, they've been abject recently and effectively have nothing to play for, or certainly won't by the time we play them. We have no reason to fear Chelsea either, they're nowt special.
  7. You should have started Shola! He played 2 games for Stoke, he has as much insight as I have hindsight! Now piss off, for I must change before the missus discovers my identity.
  8. never understand why ALL commentators are so keen to praise Lampard....
  9. An own goal from Terry would be infinitely preferable.
  10. Whhhyyyyy don't take off Frei!!!!!!!!
  11. They are bringing on another defensive midfielder?
  12. I'd say the same but Perch in for Santon. HBA was shocking in this fixture last year, shouldnt start this one Well, can't argue with that sterling logic.
  13. If it wasn't for Murphy's foul then referees have an inherent interest in Chelsea getting to the CL via the league.
  14. He's just an mid-table to lower-end PL footballer. He's fine in the short term and will do as a back-up, but he's not good enough for where we want to be going and all too often it shows on the pitch. He's been a good player for NUFC since we signed him. He's made some dumbass mistakes but has also made some blinding goal-line clearances and has given his all. So I don't dislike him, but by the same token he's not good enough. Ta and see you soon on the bench/at another club.
  15. Mate you have to stop spouting this like it's fact, it's your opinion, and it's almost certainly wrong.
  16. Bolton for the situation, importance and way the game was going, but Blackburn for the sheer impunity of it.
  17. Feel bad for Bolton as they made it a hard-ass contest, but I love it when teams who set their stall out to foul, destroy and time waste lose. Football wins.
