  1. But but but Gordon might be unhappy and start to cry... poor guy
  2. Think you can add positioning - offensive and defensive. Why do we have 11 players inside 20 meters from our goal, and how come we still look unbalanced defending.. Why a winger that cant cross with his left foot and doesnt score from open play are playing on the left wing, while our most inform left winger is on the right.

    Harvey Barnes

That was not ment as a negative comment about Barnes, it was more describing why I think in som games he drifts in and out. The way I do think Howe wants his team to play require a heavy load of intensity from especially the wingers - so the ideal imo would be to change the wingers around 60 min for them to be the most effective.

    Harvey Barnes

The full backs used to overlap Gordon but never received the ball, and when Gordon looses the ball they have to sprint home as he doesnt track back. Thats why Burn fits best on the back playing with Gordon as he tend to stay back. I do think Gordon is to much of a luxury player, Barnes is more suited for our system, the only thing is I dont think Barnes can last a full game and also be effective in the way he playes.
  5. I dont think many of the "other" fans really cares, the only thing they care about is that we or others dont spend more or as much as the cartel clubs. They will continue to listen to Ferdinand and Carragher about the elite clubs are the only one that should be allowed to spend, and they are ok with it. But you wait and see if someone rich buys them, then they will wake up. Also owners/chairmen of not the welthiest clubs, dont want others to spend either, so they will keep voting with the cartels club as they dont want others to be able to spend more than they do. In the Ashley days would we have cared about the PSR? No hope, no ambition, mid table finnish was the goal.

    Nick Woltemade

I would also go for Ekiteki type of forward, ie more energy type of forward. Think Howe was hoping to keep Isak, but I do think Isaks head was turned and think he would have refused to play even if we made him stay - at least he would have been injury free 😅

No im not, and you are dodging my question. Im asking you which kind of player you want us to sign because the Isak we signed and the Isak we sold was to different players. One was a talented winger who could play as a striker, the other was a world class striker. Its a big difference in transfer fee and wages. The reason im showing the stats of both is because I havent written Woltemade off yet, and hope we can make a striker that suits us like we did with Isak. Like you, I dont think he really suits us, but I am willing to give him another season(like with Isak). The first season wasnt that Isak suited the team that made us flying, Wilson was actually better for the team that season. Higher and better press, faster passing, more players in the box and more players scoring goals that season made the team better. We did not have players ballwatching like we have in todays team. We have jet to get to that level, and did not the last season with Isak here.. I do not agree with you about the team being good for Woltemade. If anything we have not been good for eachother. I would also say that we were good for Isak, and not the other way around. Our gamestyle last season was very much set up to play too Isaks strenghts..

Do you want the Isak we signed in 2022, a winger that scored 10 goals in 41 games a season or the Isak we sold(ie World Class forward)? Isak had 10 goals in 27 games his first season and was in and out of the team. Woltemade has 9 in 25 now, if he scores in one of the next 2 matches he will have equal stat as Isak in his first season. Remember we where flying the Isak season.. Woltemade has played more then he was suppose to, he was suppose to learn from Wissa this season. I will wait untill next season before I judge him, and see if our coaching team can form him to the striker we want.
  9. I wont be traveling to US to watch the WC, I would have done it if the country wasnt so f*ed. I dont pay for TV, but I will see a few games that catch my interest.
  10. To loose something, you must have had it in the first place. He was just walking around as he use to do, and never had the player. I really dont know or understand how the coaching team doesnt see it, as it happens every game. Also wonder how many goals we have conceeded where he didnt track his man..
  11. Goals will always win over performances, also in the long run... tbh our permances has not been good this season, its been flat. So still I would take the goals over xG.
  12. Please explain how expected goals are better than goals in the long term? 🤔
  13. Tbh I would take goals over expected goals any time..
  14. I would say no mather how good or bad we are doing its the boards job to have a list of potenional managers ready. I dont want him replaced but we need to evaluate where we are and if we are reaching our goals, and imo needs to be done on a regular basis. If we are to replace Howe I really hope we are not doing like the past and go for a defencive manager after an attacking one(keegan - Dalglish, Sir Bobby - Souness). For me I would look at someone like Pochettino, Ancelotti or Gasperini. If replaced or not I would love us to have a set up like Bayern Munich, we find our identity and how we want to play, and that the club appoint coaches that are the best out there and not just the ones the manager wants. When the manager leaves then the setup is still there for the next one.
  15. No. Your intension is good but your statement is wrong. Hall was a prospect at the time, Elanga is proven. Hall was brought in to be a future starting left back, while Elanga was brought in to be a starter. Tbh I dont know anyone in Howe's area that can compare, closes is Gordon. When we signed Hall, we needed a left back or at least a backup for the left back. It looked like Howe at the time would play anyone than Hall, which was a litle bit strange as injury crisis hit us bad. At the time it was imo ok to question the signing, why sign someone that expensive to not even start when 1-5th choice was out, was this a Eddie Howe signing etc. When it comes to Elanga he really looks weak atm. I do think there is a good footballer there, who will/would suit Eddie's style of play. But im not sure if we are to big/ambitious for him, and that makes him nervous? I do think we need to send him to a shrink, coach and what ever to get his selfesteem back.

    Dogawful Officiating

Think they need to check Peter Banks accounts and garden, and have a check where he reives the money from. Noone cant be as bad and inconsistent as he is unless he has a weird diagnose..
  17. Just go for Malcom, brazilian playing in Saudi
  18. why on earth is the same front 3 coming out after the break? Eddie Howe really needs his tactics sorted out soon, because this season has not been good..
  19. Dont think we have played this bad since 2021
  20. 100+m euro: Bellingham, Rice, C.Ronaldo, Kane, Mbappe, Caicedo.. if you are going with pounds there are not that many to pick from

    Jacob Ramsey

The Jacob Ramsey signing was a weird one. His injury record is terrible, think people new he was a mediocre player but hoped for him to kick off, and he has just been below pair. Throwing away 40M on a player consider a talent when we needed like you said an elite player, it just feels like we helped out Villa with their PSR struggle. If its not some kind of we rub you and you rub ours back if we need it kinda deal, then we seriously need to have a look at our recruitment and scouting team, because this was some lazy business. He is 24 and should be in his prime. I really hope Eddie Howe can tur him into an elite asset but im not holding my breath..
  22. When can you call a player a flop? I wouldnt call either a flop yet, I'm still waiting for Isak to kick off. Wissa had his first big injury, so we dont know if he will ever get back to the player he was at Brentford. Just knowing our Newcastle luck, he might be the next De Jong 😥
