Im not complaining that we're getting some money for Owen but these claims are really a load of shit. Fine..if FIFA wants to give some money from their own fund to clubs of injured players then ok. But if the football association of the country the player had represented when getting injured were required to always pay for example the wages, that would kill international football in the end. Let's say Hyypiä gets injured for a year during the summer internationals and Liverpool demand Finnish football association to pay his wages for the next season. Their budget couldnt handle anything like that... Injuries are part of all sports. Private insurances are all good but it shouldnt have anything to do with the football associations
