Think he'll get a Championship club up again, if given the chance.
-
Barring this weekend's game, its the type of game he's somehow managed to pull out of the bag all season. Daft timing IMO, they missed their window to make it a meaningful decision (as far as this season goes) a while ago. Can't stand their fans. Think they have Ipswich Town's history.
-
Stupid timing tbh.
-
Have to remember to bet on Liverpool to score from a penalty when they face us.
-
New betting tactic is single event mispriced bets (occasionally doubles). 8/11 or over, playing out of profits, and banking a third of profits each time. Going really well recently.
-
They play for penalties. Only 1 dive in 5 has to work, then there are actual fouls in the box too. It's a nasty tactic but typical of football today.
-
Makes sense they'd get loads more than us - but not as many as they have. The footballing media will be so (much more) unbearable if they win the league.
-
Liverpool getting so many pens. Guess if Man Utd are shite, the brand has to keep its good name up.
-
The rules about intra-divisional loaning are never going to get looked at, are they? Such a fucking farce. Would damage the top teams(/"PL brand") too much if they couldn't develop their young'uns with no risk to their own games. Fucking farce football.

Nah there was loads, then loads more after his Haidara comments IIRC.

Before or after 40 points?

Remy has a scan on Tuesday. Doesn't sound too good for him starting, but maybe. I have a good deal of confidence in how poorly we're playing, how dispirited the squad is and how little anyone seems to care to change it at this point. By contrast, Stoke really seem to have their tales up - and Crouch/Odemwingie seem dangerous. Odemwingie really likes Colo too

I think the bottom rows say: "10 games I've arbitrarily picked to show Pardew as working in a no-win situation" "10 games which will obfuscate common sense that Pardew is not a real football manager" "10 games I've enjoyed singing we're gonna win 4-3 while 3-0 down"
-
Newcastle fans. Non-Newcastle fans = "You're doing alright, you're midtable" (ie. "you are, where I think you should be")

Reminded me of this article in Friday's Metro, was amazed we didn't get a mention: http://metro.co.uk/2014/04/04/football-fans-can-deal-with-suffering-just-dont-ever-let-it-be-dull-4688725/ I am truly amazed by the lack of coverage and basic understanding of the situation Newcastle fans find ourselves in by all but a few media sources. Even local radio stations are clueless about how the real fans feel and quite frankly the national media couldn't give a fuck. We just suffer on in silence. People at work ask me about the football and I tell them it's fucking desperate, without fail I get a response along the lines of "You must be really pleased you're top half though". Even among casual fans here in the north east the lack of understanding and ignorance to what's going on is astounding to me. I work with about 40 blokes and I don't think there is more than about two or three of them who thinks like people on here. Yes some hate Ashley and want him out but most of them reckon Pardew is blameless and is "doing his best" with his hands tied etc. I've even stopped arguing with them as it just ends with me getting all worked up. How on Earth people cannot see that Pardew is Ashley's right hand man and is 'in' on all the crazy decisions is beyond me. How they cannot see his clear mismanagement of the team and talent is even further beyond me. If my workplace is representative of the North East in general then its no wonder our ground is still packed while we're served up shit week after week and perhaps we are as thick as Ashley thinks we are after all. Everyone I've spoken to IRL think Pardew is doing a good job with his hands tied.

Snodgrass' service would be wasted here without a striker with a bit more aggression/aerial prowess. Thought we should have gone for him a few seasons ago IIRC.
-
Norwich's strikers are horrible. Worst front line in the league - including Sunderland.
-
That said, if people haven't stopped turning up by now - I very much doubt it'll happen at all.
-
Sky not picking us for games because of empty stadiums/damaging the "PL brand" will be another bit of turnover and devaluing the goodwill of the club (decreasing the worth of the club) might make a dent. Not being able to attract players who can keep us in the category of "surviving" might help too. It's a small start, sure, but if such an idea ever happened - there's a chance (remote or not) it could snowball IMO.
-
It'll be tight, but I can see Norwich getting to 36ish and surviving.
-
Well, for Cardiff and Fulham - it requires two wins to close the deficit, which leaves them with three fixtures to get points and hope Norwich don't get more. It's not unachievable by any means, but they're down there in the first instance because they're not great at getting wins and I can't see the gap between 18th and 17th just melting away by any means. Sunderland have more games in hand, but they've lost momentum after the League Cup final/FA Cup exit, and I think containing Liverpool reasonably effectively but still losing will be a recurring theme for their remaining fixtures.
