Polls like this one from the SkySports website are why Liverpool can't win the league: If they win the league, next September, they'll have the same poll for Raheem Sterling.
-
If Norwich win on Saturday against these, that's 7 points between them! Even with Norwich's fixtures and Sunderland's games in hand, that's enormous in the context of a relegation battle.

Only player who I think may potentially be rotated is Kolarov. Assuming the Man City-Fulham game is done and dusted by 60 minutes, I doubt Yaya will play all of it either. It's a shame Man City don't really have a trust-worthy CF available atm, because I reckon they're going to absolute rinse Fulham and Man Utd.

12 players with 2 games. Brought in AC9. Seems to be effective in the short pitch time he's had this season and West Ham have decent fixtures.

Think it'll boil down to if Man City can avoid defeat at Anfield now. Don't really have confidence in Chelsea's ability to blow teams away - their victories tend to be close-run affairs in general, and they don't have enough 'easy goals' in the team. Liverpool, by contrast, won't falter now against a lesser side you'd think. Too much firepower. Man City aren't exactly blowing teams away atm either as they were, but they carry more threat than Chelsea against the also-rans of the league and they have more options too. Arsenal will do well to get 2nd or 3rd with their lack of options up-front and key injuries for their tough run-in IMO.

Especially when you think back to the season where we were fifth (without being particularly impressive either, I would add), comfortably ahead of them, and did... well, what we're still doing now. Fuck all.

Does he have to buy out his contract?

Sad night. Commendable effort from the Arse. Would've been good to see a Ramsey/Walcott-ful Arsenal play Bayern with 11 over 180 minutes. Hope Bayern lose.

You could always sign the contract then Winston Bogarde/Marcelino them.

Should try and sleep with opposition manager wives. Might give them something to worry about for a change.

Sorry Beren, acting in your official capacity as debate standards enforcer here? Didn't realise everyone else changed their opinion on Mike Ashley regularly. Not at all. Feel free to continue posting as you are and have been. I enjoy reading your posts.

People often have trouble conceptualising beyond four dimensions (being three spatial dimensions and time) but experiencing Ian W on this forum is a cracking example of how you can skip in and out of reality as we know it: leave the forum for weeks on end and return to find he's in the same thread, making the exact non-point as when you left. Remarkable.

Wasn't Sherwood quoted as recently saying he likes his attackers to attack and his defenders to defend, or words to that effect? IIRC, it's quite an antiquated view of football that will automatically impose a glass ceiling on him.

Tired of being incorrectly characterised on here. I cry 'faux tears' and have 'cyber outrage'.

Can we get Steven Taylor to present the trophy?
