Agree. Though, I think Villa have done well.
-
Not convinced that Liverpool have improved. Mane IS great. Nunez may be.
-
Yes, but Callum Wilson + Bruno Guimarães did. That was the big difference. Wilson was awesome when he returned for those last two games. Shelvey also didn’t play in the 5-0 loss to Man City.
-
Eh? So he’s not “slow” either?
-
Spending the Rice money?
-
… and resigned Schaar.

I’d ship Almiron sooner than Wood. Keep Lewis and Longstaff as well. -
Did Slovakia qualify?

Didn't he used to do videos with a younger brother? Eating a meal at McDonalds pre-game? The kid brother always cracked me up. -

Yes, that’s what’s so exciting. They’re actually thinking how all the pieces fit together. -

Interested in hearing that as well. Relative ranking of Botman, Burn, Lascelles, and Schaar? And Pope supposedly being something of a sweeper-keeper. -
The landscape has changed since Leicester City won the title. That scared the shit out of the rich clubs. Their spending went up as a result… or so I have read.

Yes, but I’ll take Howe. 2011-12 match winners got us points we frankly didn’t deserve.
-
The point was that even with our terrible start, we could have very easily finished 7th with the current squad. It doesn’t always balance out. The 2011-12 team had nothing but good luck.
-
Where we finish will certainly depend on who improves and who backslides. I figure Tottenham, Arsenal, Villa, and Man United will be better. Wolves, West Ham, Leceister City, Brighton will not. I don’t think Liverpool will be as good either, but still finish 2nd comfortably. Other than the ESL teams who is spending this summer? Aren’t WH supposed to lose Rice?
-
We finished 7 points behind West Ham last season. Say we won the Everton and Chelsea games, which we arguably could/should have won. That’s puts us one point off 7th place. And that’s with a half season of Bruce in charge. Edit: What STM said.

We have the technology.

Yes, but Wilson has a history of not being 100% fit and DCL is five years younger.

Seen quite enough Michael Owen - Thauvin transfers, thank you very much.

I don’t know anything about the quality of the facilities in Kansas City (or Denver for that matter), but it does seem an odd choice. I wonder if completely ignoring the Midwest just wasn’t politically viable (“flyover country” and all that). Still, I think that KC metro area is pretty small. I would think the smallest of the host cities. I can’t get over the absence of Chicago. A lot of the 94 host cities were passed over: Chicago, Detroit, Orlando, DC. This will be third World Cup for CDMX and Guadalajara. I just hope the final isn’t at Azteca. (It’s a bear).

How so? Just the Denver thing?

Yeah, we elected that ass clown for a single term (so far). Nothing at all like that jackass Berlusconi who was the PM of Italy how many times? … Oops. -
Giorgio Chinaglia Yes, the NASL had Pele, Beckenbauer, Muller, Cruyff, Best, Eusebio, and somewhat later a very young Beardsley. But Chinaglia was the star on the playground. Every American kid that cared about soccer, was obsessed with Chinaglia.
