    Footy trivia

George and Ted Robledo. Matty and Richie Appleby.
  2. Seems to have a massive chip on his shoulder like for one so young/talented.
  3. I'd love it if Arsenal got beat today like despite Fergies team selection.
  4. Man U playing for the draw they won't want? 7 defenders FFS. Ridiculous.
  5. Wonder how many will go down if they do get there.
  6. Perch was badly at fault for Spurs first goal so saying he played well is fanciful thinking tbh.
  7. Bolton put on free buses or something?

    Sunderland...

They should put that advert back on the tele, nice one Sunderland. I bet it convinced literally tens of people to go there.
  10. Aye ok then. His stock is still reasonably high in the media, he's still got time on his side for a defender and he's also English. £6m is par for the course. He's worth whatever people are willing to pay for him and if you can't see another club willing to take a £6m punt on him then you need to see my nurse. Who is going to pay £6m for him then? Of the likely candidates Villa don't need him, Everton can't afford him, Spurs/Liverpool/Stoke don't need him. Mackems wouldn't buy him. Barcelona and Arsenal, innit. Bit strange of you to decide which teams need what and who can afford what dont ya think?! But because I'm not a total cock and I am willing to answer things put to me I'd say Bolton would be a club that I could see going fr him... Not really. Think it used to be called having an opinion. Be flabbergasted if Bolton spend £6m on a defender bearing in mind they've just signed Wheater and Knight has been playing well. Ahhhh the old 'your opinion is wrong' because 'my opinion is right' manouvere. Nice one. Like I say, I think it's perfectly feasible for a team like Bolton to be casting eyes our way, especially if Cahill gets sold. Not at all. Making Taylor their 3rd most expensive signing ever? Again like I say I say I'd be surprised. Especially considering their financial position.

    La Liga - 10/11

How many go up VI? Betis are 3rd and still look to be in with a shout. Secondly how good are your B team?! 4th in Segunda, that's mental. Same scheme as in the C'ship. Top two get automatic promotion, 3-6 compete in a playoff. Betis were in a commanding position until this January and have been crashing badly since then. I'm not confident, although I do want them up since the Sevilla derby is easily the best derby in Spain. Our B-team has some great players. The two Alcántara brothers, Edu Oriol and Muniesa, Bartra and Fontàs are our best prospects from the lot. 16-year old Deulofeu (hands off Arsenal) has started already to feature for them too. He's our homegrown Cronaldo, both in play and attitude. Obviously not all of them will make it (and on the other side, Pedro had absolutely no hype and see how he turned out), but we should get at least a 2-3 long term players from this lot. Hope Betis go up, that derby looks insane. With that B team you lot should be dominating for years to come. Looks some place to watch football like. Mental steep stands. Used to love Oli and Alfonso back in the day.

    Football pet hates

Not so much but the love in with Spurs has been a bit much but I'm obviously insanely jealous. Happened with Fulham last season but I think everyone was surprised by that.

  15. Would they not value European football over trophies though? Especially given the comparative lack of value attached to the Copa Del Rey? I don't think they are risking anything, they have a healthy gap and - what's more important - no one in the chasing pack has shown signs of being able to put together the kind of form to really challenge them. As long as they don't truly collapse they will be fine. And trophies are important imho, in ten years they might be a lower midtable team, but the trophies would still be in the cabinet. Wasn't disagreeing with that. I guess in a way Europa League is there only chance of winning anything in the near future with the dominance of the Clasisico's in Spain at the moment. They really "shouldn't" be where they are to begin with. The town of Villarreal itself isn't big enough to fill up the Vicente Calderón or Mestalla. Crazy ain't it but I hope they're not a flash in the pan. They've been brilliant to watch over the last few years. Be royally fucked off if I was a Valencia fan though and how they usurped Valencia of recent times in terms of stability and progression despite the relative size of the two and the locality.
  16. £6m? Tell the nurse to lower your medication next time you see her.
  17. Will you accuse me of fowl play? Flash a bit of breast and thigh'll let you off. Hen will you stop? Now you're just winging it. You plucked those ones out of thin air. I like the cut of your giblets.
