Rob Lee's was with his left foot, IIRC, and from a lot further away. Rob Lee >>>>>>>>> Beckham. I'm saying "IIRC", but I'm guessing it's on that compilation video mentioned above. But I am just going from memory, I was in the Milburn Paddock right in front of where he struck it from. Edit: It's not on the video above. Disappointed, can't find it anywhere online. Was behind the D in the centre circle. I think it might be on the promotion video if you have that.

Caulkin is getting some unfair stick here like. Best writer out there for NUFC by a long shot as he repeatedly proved in the season of turmoil and since. People are just morons.
-
On the subject of WR i think he has been given instructions not to fly down the wing this season and to play it easy and keep the ball by going infield which is a shame. Was really looking forward to seeing him step up after last season. I'd give him a go tomorrow especially if that young lad is at LB for FFC again.

Sensing Dembele first goal. Very good buy by Fulham he was.

Rio man, I told you I was going to be the drugs mule going to South America not you. Now give it here.

Ferdinand couldn't hit a barn door when it really mattered either. Scored loads before christmas and hardly any afterwards. I prefer to accpe thtat man utd winning 16 out of their last 17 games meant we didn't lose it, they won it. I was looking at some stats side that looks at football. It basically says this. We didn't lose the title by being poor, we went through a patch like most title winning teams, manu just performed exceptionally well. Cantona 1-0 for about 100 games in a row it seemed like.

scored from his own half? got dissallowed for free kick to us wtf. Yeah aye, against brentford, who incidentally had chris hughton in the team that day if i remember rightly. that was the first match i'd ever been to Second game for me. First time I saw an own goal. Cheers Kevin Scott.

Isn't there a decent Brazilian/South American population in Japan? Plus like Disco said, money money money. Japan watching hoping they do well, the rest of Asia watching hoping they get fucked up. No idea but there is a lorry load of Japanese in Sao Paulo. Sao Paulo's only redeeming feature IMO that you can get cheap Japanese bait.

bloodbath without them tbh. class video like. That video is absolutely belting like. Always wondered what it would be like if we drew in cup semis or final. Carnage.
-
We'd get fucking panned tbh. The players wouldn't know what hit them if they turned up in Argentina. --- Probably going to be $$$ i'd imagine again QBG.
-
It's all for the $$$. Mexico is a big market for sponsorship and I'm guessing a lot of the brands in South America are prevelant in Mexico too and so they're invited

On a side note Argentina are playing Brazil on Wednesday in La Plata. Should be worth a watch. Brazil dicked them 3-1 last time they went to Argentina. There is also an alreet podcast on South American footy avail via the independent. Eh, good football is good football regardless of whether or not we show up. Gold Cup should be this summer as well, right? January 7–29 — 2011 AFC Asian Cup in Qatar June 11-June 25 - 2011 Euro u21's June 18–July 10 — 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Mexico June 26–July 17 — 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany June 14–July 3 — 2011 Copa America in Argentina July 29–August 20 — 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Colombia

On a seperate note I wonder if it would do America and Mexico any good jumping ship to CONMEBOL like Australia have to AFC. Mexico have already a little bit as their teams take part in the Copa Libertadores so thats increased competition for their players still playing in their national clubs.

Good excuse to watch Univison for you.

wiki says: Since 1993, two teams from other confederations, usually from CONCACAF whose members are geographically and culturally close, are also invited. Nations receiving invitations are Costa Rica (1997, 2001, 2004), Honduras (2001), Japan (1999), Mexico (1993, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2004, 2007), and the United States (1993, 1995, 2007). The United States had been invited every time from 1997 to 2007 but frequently turned down the invitation due to scheduling conflicts with Major League Soccer. However, on October 30, 2006, the US Soccer Federation accepted the invitation for participation in the 2007 tournament, ending a 12 year absence. At 2001 Copa América, Canada was an invitee, but on July 6, 2001 withdrew because of security concerns.

Not enough countries to go around I guess. Mexico is more or less South America anyways. Japan though?
-
Aye but how long before they start brining a portable radiator/heater on the pitch. If Qatar win the world cup bid the stadiums and pitches are going to have coolers so they players don't need to play in daft temperatures.

Draw was made last night for the Copa América. Tis being held in various decaying stadiums in Argentina in July. Group A - Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica (guest) Group B - Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay, Venezuela Group C - Chile, Mexico (guest), Peru, Uruguay Top 2 and 2 best 3rds go through. Should be keenly contested this year with Chile, Uruguay and Paraguay putting up a good show at the World Cup and in the last qualifiers although Bielsa has left Chile. Argentina have a new manager too and have a chance to win their 15th trophy on home soil and move one ahead of Uruguay who have won 14, Brazil lagging behind with 8. Fuck knows if anyone will be interested but I'm well looking forward to it.

convenient excuse for him to use the whole world is against me card. Probably did it on purpose. What did he do?

chelsea fair enough, but bolton ? They'll get in our faces and the two upfront will be difficult to deal with, it's winnable but will be a really tough game. They've got a good record at home and should've beaten Liverpool by all accounts too. Bolton only lost twice this season, same as Chelsea

I figured he'd be able to pick out the one he knew like.
