Good news for us next season. I imagine their squad is going to be very unsettled by all this and it will take them a bit of time to recover.
-
Can't see why he would be up for it at all.

Dunno where you are getting that form considering there has already been confirmed bids for Woodgate in January and Modric. Both were considerable bids. Aye, but he didn't really have much time then did he? And plus, he wouldn't have known who he wanted to sell within the first two weeks of being at the club. Eh?. what's your point? Keegan joined our club with about 2 weeks of the January window left - he wouldn't have had enough time to run the rule over the squad and decide who he wanted to flog. Therefore the theory of "having to sell before buying" was not really in place in January, as time was short. Yeah! but this not January any more is it, and after the meeting with Ashley in London it probably does mean he needs to lower the wage bill before being able to buy. There's no evidence to support that assertion. Okay! it's you could be right, but where's the evidence that supports that Ashley will be the "goose that lays the golden egg" I've not seen anything that about what Newcastle's budget will be this year other than speculation from the papers. Well You've really answered your own question. There is no evidence to suggest that he's gonna be an Abramovich style cash spendaholic. All we do know is that Keegan told us that there would be cash available to spend on the right players and that we have made two significant bids for players so far. The amount we were willing to pay for Modric suggests to me that they will cough up but the thing to remember is that they are astute businessmen and won't just pay willy nilly for any old Luque .

The Modric bid was recent enough so I think that proves that he is willing to spend without selling first. I do expect that they have been told to cut the wage bill though and they are right because if you look at the squad there are far too many squad players on massive wages. I don't think Duff is even good enough to be a squad player.

Shit didn't even check the source.

He's so shit that booting him out of the first team actually saved us from relegation. Let's never forget that. Good point too. I see infinitely more benefits of him going than staying. Him and Smith when they play just fuck the whole team over so bad that the rest can't play with them.

If he goes and since Emre has gone that's like 120k a week off the wages already with hardly any loss in terms of players. Assuming Zoggy stays then he will move up a place in the pecking order if Duff goes which is fine. No replacement for Emre yet but KK has done without him all season and I'm sure we will be bringing in another midfielder.

8 million? No chance. Glad he's being sold though, waste of space. Didn't really seem like he was giving it his all at any time.

Oh so now it's only 25 year olds is it, when the entire point everyone was making was about the relative unknowns and had nothing to do with age? And now it's capped out at 3m when no one set a cap? For what it's worth here are the notable Arsenal transfers under 3m from the last 10 years, age ignored. Not that I expect it will change your mind about anything seeing as how you missed the entire point in the first place. 2006/2007 Alexandre Song 1m Diaby 2m Eboue 1m 2003/2004 Robin Van Persie 2.75m Phillipe Senderos 2.5m Gael Clichy 500k 2002/2003 Pascal Cygan 2.1m 2001/2002 Kolo Toure 150k 1998/1999 Freddie Ljunberg 3m Jermaine Pennant 2m Wasn't Van Persie about 9m?

Not really worried but every so often I get a strange feeling that something will go wrong. No wonder with everything that's gone on in the past few years and the bad press though. So I reckon it will be sound in the end.

A free agent, as back up. Decent deal really, as long as his wages are acceptable. yeah but then, why did we release him? Carr is no near good enough for the top. He could´t even hit the 18-yard box 5 meters away. shocking indeed. There is not a chance that he will sign for one of these teams. Martin O'Neil and David Moyes weren't crack heads last time I checked.
-
If Keegan wants him then fair enough.
-
Hiddink?
-
Entirely his own fault for signing for them in the first place. I'm sure he knew what the craic was but now has just lost patience. If he wants a game we should buy him and play him in the Viduka role in the 4-3-3. Owen Martins and Anelka would have the potential to be utterly class.
-
I remember watching him a few times for CSKA and Croatia. Very average I thought.
-
I can hear the Aberdonians boarding up their windows from here. You'll see the smoke for miles... Aye, like - a BRILLIANT bit of fixture planning there by the SPL. I really wouldn't want to be anywhere near the East Coast mainline railway tonight around Dundee as the trains from Aberdeen, filled with dejected Rangers fans, roll in to the jeers of Celtic fans all heading back to Glasgow... Good point. Might get a bit hairy. Glad I'm not in Glasgow tonight either.

How? Have they imploded in a ball of shame?
-
Seems like he did exactly what was required of him, the club is financially sound and the staff have been put in place for next season. Hats off to him. He is a lawyer after all.
-
I'm annoyed with Drogba. He's one of my favourite players in terms of his ability. He's a class, class player. Always has to be the one getting involved like that though. He should have learned when to step back by now.

I must admit that I enjoyed our Intertoto games, I'd much rather play those types of game than a meaningless friendly. Watching football on a warm summer’s day is also better than sitting in a freezing ground in January. I love watching football in the summer. Edit: I actually love everything better in the summer.

Ronaldos penalty was a fucking joke. He did a pose when he put the ball down, then ran up to it with like a 2 second pause halfway. Twat.
-
I was loving that. They'll be crying on the red side of Merseyside (that's Ireland btw) so that's one bonus. Everton are a hugely Irish connected club too.
-
I doubt it. He has built another team which can dominate for the next 3-4 years at least.

Fair play to Fergie.
