I love the nicknames they give our players... "Ben Failure." Yes, he's really been a failure, hasn't he?
-
Not sure where the foul was :S

I don't understand why Benzima's been playing so deep. He's hardly been up front all game.

This would be hugely hurtful if happened at the end of the summer. Worse than Carroll in many ways. You're right, this kind of sh1t can f--- off. No need for this right now.

It's not funny because it doesn't make any sense. Humperdink is too old to win the Eurovision.

I was alluding to his time at Arsenal. I know far too many Arsenal fans for my own good, who keep reminding me of how Adebawh0re and Ca$hley Cole left for more money. Oh and Samir "Lesbian" Na$ri.

I whooshed Wullie. I feel special.

I'm keeping mum. Leaving it a mystery to add a certain aura of enigma to my forum presence.

Arsenal are bang out of order, refusing to pay Ade higher wages so he could use them for his African charity. Good on him for leaving them without a decent striker for a place on City's bench.

Yeah it's more of an open concept here at work. Not cubicles but "pod" areas which have 5-6 desks.

He listens to trance music on his headphones all day long so I suppose that may be true. Although I spent a majority of my day stalking you lot, so I'm probably gonna be locked up first.

I never rated him highly and his attitude and effort at times were suspect, but his last 6 months with us were tremendous. He really stepped up and proved me wrong quite a few times. He'll be missed as a solid back-up player. All the best for the future. Hope he gets first team football.

He sits behind me, I have to work with him 40 hours a week. It's interesting banter usually though, Leeds fans have really levelled out after the bubble burst. I remember them all being absolute w@nkers back in the days of Duberry and Bridges, now they're pretty self-depracating.
-
Lad who sits behind me, who's a Leeds fan, thinks Dalglish should be England manager. Why does the world rate him so freaking highly? This is despite me pointing out numerous times how he's failed both at the Toon and now at Liverpool. "It's what England needs. The players respect him."

MLS beckons, the backwater retirement home for spent footballers. A league where Danny Dichio is considered an absolute legend at my local club (TFC! TFC!).

This thread has brought me, and continues to do so, immense pleasure on a daily basis. And to think almost all the content comes from another forum is delicious.

Aren't TF generally reliable?

Fan-bloody-tastic news, if true.

Millions are lost, and a club's future is on the brink, each time it gets relegated due to a bad call or an incorrect goal. Just because some people are sentimental about "oh it's a human game, mistakes are a part of it," doesn't mean the rest of the players, managers, investors and every other person who puts something into the game to keep it going have to suffer because of it. This was long overdue, about time we get it to the Premiership level. If refs are allowed to make mistakes, wtf is the point of having them, or having rules at all.

Absolute genius

Fully agree. I'd rather have my team have playing every game with 80 % of possession instead of scoring a goal, instead of winning a game. This is the age old art vs. efficiency debate, and it's useless to get into as it's always a polarized one. But it's a little misguided in this case, as Chelsea were horsesh1t and played like they were scared of Barca. They took their few chances well, but it still reeked of a team afraid and hanging on. It was small-club mentality on the biggest stage in world football -- a stage most of us place even higher than international football and the World Cup final. If we can't tune into the Champions League to watch an even game, where should we turn? Anyway, as I said, I'm not gonna continue this as it'll never end.

I not only fail to understand those supporting Chelski tonight, but also those saying how "fantastic" they played. They played like crap, had a man sent off, played the Sam Allardyce / Greek 04 style of footie that made Otto Rehhagel a household name that kids muttered under their breaths on schoolyard pitches when the fat kids parked their big backsides across goal. Barca were unimaginative in their penetration, but please, for the love of football, don't promote the drivel served up by teams like Chelsea which further underline that even if they go on to win this cup, they will not be deserved winners.
