    What's the compilation called again?
  2. How do Wigan do this every year? Suck for 34 games, and then go on a massive giant-killing run towards the end of the season and survive by the skin of their teeth. Crazy tactic that seems to always work! Martinez needs to aim a little higher, but it makes for enthralling end to the season .

I like Mackemism. I'm gonna use it from hereon. You've coined it, Sir.
  4. The Barfa wondergoal(s) and his overall performances since the Sunderland game because it forced him into Pardew's plans, he gave us momentum (WBA away was the pick of the season for me, in terms of how our three-pronged attack first came to play well together) when things were looking to become stagnated ("HOOOOF"). He's not only turned games around with his goals and running, but our latter half of the season.
  5. Coz they hang out with Dennis Wise who shows them all the YouTube links he's bookmarked of Nacho Gonzalez.
  6. So X happens, your opinion, Y, is based on X. Then Z happens, which is vastly different from X, and your opinion should remain X simply because... that was the "original" opinion you formed and you'd be a bandwagon jumper to change your mind based on new evidence staring at you in front of your face?

    Twitter

JFK figured out how to use Twitter.
  10. I can see him resurrecting his career at someone like Stoke where he'd be the main target man of balls launched (thrown) forward all day long.

    Sam Allardyce

Crunch time: If West Ham beat Reading, Allardyce's side will be back in the automatic promotion places Personally, I find his touchline swagger compelling and enjoy his disdain for West Ham’s past failings. What is the West Ham Way? No trophy since 1980. David Sullivan and his partner David Gold are propping up West Ham with their personal fortune. They have gambled on Allardyce and they like what they see. Sullivan says: ‘The fans have always sung for Paolo. One day, they might get him. In five years’ time, perhaps. We like him, but only after Sam wins promotion, takes West Ham into Europe and then leaves for the England job. Wait, what?

    <3 Barton for that.
  13. Its just passion for a different reason thats all. I often wonder what the attraction is considering there are more obvious (successful) teams to choose to support. Anyway i really think Whitley Bay is close enough to qualify on the local pride argument. I've responded to so many posts like this one over the years on this forum, and a few others, that I just don't give a fuck anymore to tell people why those not from the area itself love the club -- and just how much. And what it means to them. It's as demented as saying "I'm more into Jesus than you." That game got old two millennia ago. Although, I agree with you about the Norwegian kid and the stunt: bizarre.
  14. So I guess we'll never see Ben Arfa behind the strikers then? Wide right 20min cameos it is.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

He's the only one who sent my penis a-flutter during the game, and it's got nothing to even do with his looks. Those two shots he took were breathtaking stuff, it's as if there's always magic in the air when the ball's at his feet. Yes, he'll frustrate by running it out, but what else do you expect when you put so much pressure on him by putting him on for 20 mins per game, expecting him to be a free-flowing Messi 24/7?

If we see another manager the calibre of SBR in my lifetime at the club it'll be happy days. We may just have to wait a very, very long time before we convince someone like that to join us again. And to actually have him given the free reign, pressure-free, that SBR had initially, to build something glorious, seems like a distant dream now. SBR managed Robert, Bowyer, Dyer, Bellamy, etc., FFS, and that's just at the toon. Think about how many other enigmatic, crazy but insanely talented players he's managed to get the best out of, and you have to wonder why lesser managers don't emulate that thought process.

How's a Sunland player getting into the England squad? Wtf?

    Alan Pardew

Tevez, Mascherano. Barfa will be off, from the way the situation is going, next season. Unbelievable waste of such talent at our disposal. How to bring out the best in tortured geniuses one has to learn from the top, top managers, like Sir Bobby.
