Man Utd are shite, but getting battered away to Liverpool isn't really worth this knee-jerking tbh.

Non-British ref being good shocker

I'm no elite level coach, but surely the exceptionally high line is causing more goals than it prevents? Edit: apparently not https://www.thisisanfield.com/2022/02/incredible-stat-debunks-weird-criticism-of-liverpools-high-defensive-line/

Despite a rejuvenated squad, it's fairly clear Almiron, Lascelles and Longstaff are nowhere near good enough even as back ups.
-
Longstaff is an absolute ghost

Yellow if he's not elbowing a fucking giant, his elbow shouldn't that high

The "delighted Ashley has gone, but uncomfortable with Saudi ownership" thread

In my mind, the best pragmatic scenario is we build a solid playing and management team, training ground, ground etc., get some mild success at which point we become more marketable as a brand and we get other partners in to take over some of the 80% and we can sleep easier at night. -
Not Shane Long ffs, our kyptonite

Krafth gives the ball away then the attack comes down where he should be

Going to nail my colours to the mast here and say he's finished. Willing to quote myself and eat humble pie if he does anything before Wilson is back.

Summed up yesterday in commentary, paraphrasing: "he's had a turnaround in performances under Eddie Howe, well you could say that about every member of this team" -
Now every team plays out from the back and every team presses high, how often does a team have to give the ball away outside their box before they stop doing it because it's trendy?

Playing out from the back and immediately giving away a foul, looks like his coaching is working already -
Accidental hand-balls getting penalised is one of the worst parts of modern football

Willock was anonymous first half and has had a handful of good games, so I'm not going to be too sad if he gets dropped, that still leaves 3 players more advanced than him.

Trippier looked like a hammy :/
-
To be fair to Maxi, he turned infield and there was literally no-one playing CM
-
If he wasn't a footballer, you'd defo run into him on a building site.

"Greenwood's at the right club with that other rapist Ronaldo" - just as inappropriate thing to post and would have likely resulted in Man Utd fans hounding him instead of Newcastle fans, it's on him not us.
-
Gotta agree with this — he's been here 6 years, he's 33 this year and should be moving down the leagues as he can't keep up anymore.
-
Because there's no-one else?
-
I am no fan of Shelvey's, he should have been moved on several years ago. But having the only player in the back 9 who is comfortable on the ball drop deep to pick it up and play a forward pass isn't really an awful idea.
