Guardiola and Klopp took a while to get their ideas across and now their clubs are benefiting from showing patience and backing their managers. Do you really think he can be a longterm success at Chelsea in terms of turning them into Title and Champions League challengers? I think he’ll only ever be successful if he goes back to Italy everytime I hear him speak with the English press he’s a disaster. Came with a massive reputation as a coach and manager but has disappointed in both regards. He should go back to Italy and try win his first ever trophy becuase I can’t see him ever having the success as the likes of Guardiola and Rafa Benitez have had here and Klopp will have. You should write for The Sun with that kind of logic. How has he disappointed? He was appointed about two weeks before the season started and finished third getting to two cup finals. I bet you thought Guardiola was a fraud after his first season as well. You're an idiot So do you think he could get Chelsea challenging either the Title or the Champions League like Guardiola and Klopp has done if given a few years? And I didn’t mean his language skills I meant the stuff he says in the press about his players. He just seems a coach to me his managerial skills are terrible. Even his coaching skills haven’t even been impressive “SARRI BALL”

Maddison has been playing in a midfield 3 for Brendan Rodgers though I’m no fan of his but he has played numerous positions this season and has been positionally flexible if anything.

Time for us to give their most underrated striker some attention In other news West Ham have predictably “joined the race” for Rondon. I can see us, Wolves, West Ham fighting for the same players a lot this Summer

Love the mix of our back 3 With the knee injury to Lejeune though I’d like to see us add the speed and physicality of N’Soki as a talented left sided backup for him I think having Schar and N’Soki either side of Lascelles aggressively nicking the ball would be good depth next season. This Summer has to be the time to move on the Championship players like Clark and start improving the quality/talent of our depth. We shouldn’t be seeing numbers like 8 out of the 11 starters having started for us in the Championship in our 3rd season up next season. Time to move Darlow, Clark, Hayden, Diame, Atsu, Gayle on. Hayden? Missed the 2019 part of the season did you? Ciaran Clark was our 4th top Premiership goalscorer this season (with 3). We'll miss his goals! The lad played well for about 8 games all season. Voted him player of the season didn’t you

Butland, Trippier, Dier, Delph, Winks, Ward-Prowse, Redmond Yet everyone has their trousers dropped thinking about this current England squad as usual.

Turned off, what happened? Same. Has he resigned
-
He'll leave. Tends not to hang about. Aye can’t do a long term job hasn’t got the character I wouldn’t want that type anywhere near Newcastle.

Hopefully that is the very last we see of Bielsa in English football Take the stalking elsewhere

How did stalking work out for you Bielsa

I don’t think I would even trust that Leeds keeper to run me a bath

Sort of stats you would expect in under 7s football Joke of a league.

No, Leeds. Leeds please. feel like we had a good record at Elland Road. Don't like Villa (or Leeds) but those are clubs that should have good ambition at this level after a few seasons. I like how they've been run. I like their style. But can't see Bournemouth ever feeling maybe they should challenge for Europe. The other 2, if they get their acts together could be something. On what planet can a team that conceded 70 goals possibly challenge for Europe With Bournemouth likely losing Fraser too they’re probably the most likely to get relegated of any team outside the 3 promoted clubs next season. The last 28 Premier League game table suggests that too.

Ah the “We don’t want to go up anyway” line
-
Had a Spurs fan sat next to me while those flew in

The Summer transfer window officially opens tomorrow. Bet Ashley and Charnley have their holidays booked for tomorrow without a return flight while Rafa is sat around still waiting for a meeting

He had refused to extend with Benfica for months because they wouldn’t give him the “€1.5million per year” he was asking for. Seemed a very presentable situation for a Premier League club. I’m just glad Wolves didn’t get him he would have been absolutely fantastic alongside Moutinho and Neves in their midfield

Most mansgers in the game are strict disciplinarians who dont appreciate or know how to handle gifted flair players with attitude problems or teamwork issues. Jealousy amongst footballers is also a huge issue which needs strong man management skills. That's why the likes of Sir Bobby and Keegan are so rare because they had the abilities to handle players like this for the good of the club, and why there's way more Pardews and Sounesses who'll hang the likes of Ben Arfa out to dry at every opportunity. For example when Beresford complained to Keegan about Ginola not tracking back, Keegan told him to not worry about what Ginola does because Ginola would win more games for the team. Basically a "stfu and get on with your job". A lesser manager would've tried to "fix" Ginola and then bench/exile him for "not listening" when these players' personalities are part of what makes them the players they are. Of course some genius flair players are going to have poor attitudes, their arrogance and ego is very much what drives their playstyle. On top of that players like Ben Arfa are generally not good or consistent enough for the bigger sides to bother with. They can get players of a similar ability level without the flaws. Ben Arfa needed to be at a "sleeping giant" type of club who can't attract players of his ability level without the flaws, clubs where its worth putting up with the flaws or compensating for them through tactics/teammates (and telling those teammates to stfu when they whinge) because the player can propel them to heights it's otherwise very hard to achieve. When Hatem hit good form for us in a formation that allowed him more freedom to attack and less defensive duties, we finished 5th, and we've not had a player anywhere near as good since. We should have had the side built around him, but again, a manager who couldn't handle him was in charge. Unfortunately most managers would rather work with a Ritchie or Atsu than a Ben Arfa. So odds were always against Ben Arfa establishing himself over a long term. Needs both right club and right manager in place. For us it was right club, wrong manager. For PSG it was both wrong. For Nice it was both right. For France he never stood a chance with a disciplinarian like Deschamps. He's just unlucky he never found the right combination for long enough, and the buggest blame on him should be his choice of club/manager to sign for. Had he signed for Barca instead of PSG I suspect the latter part of his career would've been different. Ben Arfa under someone like Sir Bobby would have been pure joy Shame he never really had that sort of person/manager in his career.

Looks like Lee Charnley has missed the boat on getting Andreas Samaris for free he has just signed a new contract for “€1.5million a year”. Apparently Wolves and West Ham were after him too. The “Greek Matic” would have been a bargain on a free
