  1. Source? Nobby lives in London. So do I but I'm home for Xmas, I guess it'll be in the postbox when I get back.
  2. Source? I thought they were fucked for money at the start of this season?
  3. Piss off. I'll take that back, jesus wept. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/match_of_the_day/7802128.stm Jesus did indeed weep. Oba Martins is our only really important player. We're shit without him. Don't pose a threat to anyone. this, those who think michael owen is a class striker anymore are clueless he offer's fuck all to the team and rightly booed by some people todahy Imo, anyone who booed Owen today is a clueless cunt. so what has owen did the last 3 games (spurs, wigan and liverpool) fuck all, we haven't got the players to provide service, shola did more than owen today tbh So boo him if he doesn't have a great game? He's done more than most have this season, scored some important goals and will continue to do so over the rest of the season assuming he stays. Looks to be developing a decent partnership with Oba too.
  4. I didn't vote that way, but I'd assume it's the optimism that often goes hand in hand with being a football fan.
  5. Yep, a completely new central midfield! Although I reckon Barton could do the second part of that if he can get himself fit.
  6. I'd replace excellent with adequate. I reckon they've looked very good together. Complement each other well, and a particularly promising partnership given their relative inexperience in this league.

It was pathetic. It's like he done it to play to the crowd who would think look at the local lad throwing himself about. No, get it right, we think you're a cunt.
  9. It won't be too hard for him to replace Butt and Shola.....
  10. Not with Kinnear in charge - imo. I agree. He won't be here past this season though imo. Be positive! Considering the lovefest between Kinnear and Ashley in the press I'm not so sure he'll go. What can I say, I'm an optimist. He'll go!
  11. (Alan Smith, the same goes for you)

  13. About £10m would be my guess. Possibly a bit less.
  14. What do you even mean by that? The fans were superb at the game, why shouldn't they be allowed to complain after it has finished? That post is nonsensical, I can barely read it. Why the fuck shouldn't people be allowed to tear apart an awful performance? The players got our full support whilst they were on the pitch, are we supposed to pretend they played well after the game has finished? We all hope they do better in the future, does that mean we should ignore what we've just watched?
  15. I'm not saying don't give it a go. If you remember we did under SBR and it was fucking brilliant. That doesn't mean I expect it to always be like that. Being mediocre in the premiership is far from ideal, but I had a magic day out at Portsmouth, Spurs was amazing - it's not all doom and bloody gloom. There will be a point in the next few years when we're a team in the ascendency again imo.
  16. I think he's looked a potentially excellent player for us, with a few poor performances. He's got all the attributes needed to succeed alongside Bassong in the long term imo.

  18. I agree, but we need to adopt a mentality that we are a top 6 club and anything outside of that is not and never will be acceptable in the same way that finishing second isn't acceptable to Man Utd. I think that isn't too much to ask for. I'm not sure I agree. I might demand we stay in the top flight, but other than that I just follow the team and am grateful for anything I can enjoy. It could be a lot worse, look at Leeds.
  19. What's that got to do with anything? Particularly in this thread?
  20. Fixed part of your post. Bar one run at 2-1 in the first seconds of the second half he was useless.
  21. Thank f*** for that. I think I'd have preferred it if JFK had realised he was complete toss. JFK - 'We lost a lot of influence as well when we lost Nicky Butt again today' Fuck off!
  22. Decent enough manager. Hard to tell if he's any better than that. Would be uninspiring but acceptable.
  23. I agree that we should always aim as high as possible. I guess my point is really that being a 'top 6 club' is a meaningless thing imo. The league is a fluid thing that will inevitably go in cycles with different clubs feeling they're not doing or chasing what they should at certain times. Luck plays a huge part in the short term. I don't think anyone 'deserves' anything in football.
  24. Thank fuck for that. I think I'd have preferred it if JFK had realised he was complete toss. Me too. Watching the game today I actually said to my dad that I don't care about being weak in full back areas, needing cover elsewhere - we need to spend every penny we have sorting out the centre of midfield. Can't see us ever competing at a better level unless something is done.
