no ambition ? Villa bigger and more ambitious than Newcastle ? Well, they acted it in the past, but not since 1992 they haven't been, until now that is. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't N'Zogbia make noises about leaving when the previous regime was incumbent?

Unsurprising news, no-one knows what sort of state the club might be in come the summer. We could be in Europe with a top manager, or we could be in the lower reaches of the table.
-
How come that goes down as a Caceido goal? Surely it was an OG?
-
Don't be so ridiculous, there must be more to it than the logical explanation.
-
Shouldn't have been a yellow, but it's pretty brainless to go in with your studs like that. edit: Actually, seeing it from the other angle he didn't stamp down at all like I originally thought he had, def not a yellow. Still think the first one was.
-
Both the finishes in the Arsenal Liverpool game absolutely superb. Adebayor's first yellow was a good decision imo. edit: not sure I agree with the second, but it's hardly a disgraceful decision. If you go in with your studs like he did you're always running a risk.

Best ref in the prem imo. Not seen this one mind. He's been awful this match. Two very questionable calls on Adebayor. Been consistently the best for the last couple of years, bound to have the odd nightmare. Not that that condones it, just inevitable.

Martins is a big miss when he's out, makes a big difference to how both teams can play. That's not to say he isn't occasionally utter turd btw, he's just a huge player for us.

Radio seemed to think he was struggling with a knock.
-
Am I right in thinking they rejected him in favour of Ince after he was interviewed in the summer? Sure I remember this, but I was challenged on it yesterday and couldn't back it up...
-
Given that the missus is a Spurs fan, I don't know as of yet whether or not it's a good thing for it not to be on TV. I think we should win, but I'm shitting myself about this one.

True, part of Englands Baby Bentley generation. Along with Jenas, Bramble and co. Was it not NRC who started that? What justification do you have for adding JJ and Titus to this?
-
Sounds like a nightmare.

He'll get the bets on, no worries.

Remember what happened the last time we had a home game not long after our main striker got handed a new contract?

Didn't see the game tonight, just seen the goals. What was the performance like? The defence was awful on paper and even worse for their second... First half we were shite. Nice passing here and there but we didnt look dangerous at all. Spatak on the other hand didnt do too much but looked very dangerous when they attacked. Both their goals were down to individual errors though. 2nd half was a different story. From the 60 th minute onwards, we dismantled them and should have won the game. Modric was class, o'hara was very good, and bale was also quite good. Lennon changed the game when he came on (much like he's been doing this whole eason for us)/ Can't believe Bale still hasn't won a game with you [/jinx] p.s. cheers for the review. Having watched him this season I really hope Lennon is out.

Lennon has been excellent this year too, motm in every game I've seen.

I would be delighted if he re-signed. A real statement of intent, and it would make the club more appealing for other players to join. Aside from the fact he's clearly our best player, obviously.
-
That reception was something else. Tells you all you need to know about the man. A true great.
-
I don't. He was a decent-ish player that wasn't really interested when he first came here, and since his return from Birmingham hes been a generally poor player with the odd decent game here and there. Absolute rubbish. He was our best player throughout the last 12-15 games of last season. He was the weakest of the three midfielders, all the strikers were better than him, and Habib was streets ahead.
