As far as i can see, the problem people have is when players have ridiculous squad numbers like 77 or 99 - usually because it's sported on their respective shirts due to some form of sponsorship or other commercial bollocks. Some people like tradition; that sort of thing just epitomises what's wrong with the game. That said, stuff like Gallas - a CB - being number 10 is arguably even more irritating. Think Boularouz was 9 for Chelsea.

Nolan can't function as a CM in a 442 in a decent standard game, he doesn't have the legs. On the other hand, he only seems to score when we have 2 up top, which makes me think that the diamond is probably our best bet at the moment.

Thats said i wish him well, rather liked him when he was at chelsea (could be that the chelsea fans hated him that made me like him) Superb players but it was clearly an unsettled club when he took over. Got more league points than anyone else from the time he was appointed and was one idiotic centre back checking the conditions away from winning them the CL. Underrated job he did there.

He's our most important player at the moment as he's winning us games but Nolan is a big reason we're so shit. Our central midfield is appauling; no pace, no movement, very little by the way of decent passing and certainly no dribbling. It was the worst midfield in the league when we got relegated last season and would be again if we went up now. A central midfield as static as ours wouldn't last a second in the premierleague.

I'd have been fined £2 and made to wear the donkey t-shirt in the bar after the game if I'd sent that effort in for my team. And rightly so.

Chelsea were 2.8 on betfair after 10 minutes, couldn't believe it when I saw how strong the team was. Stuck a tenner on, they're one up now.

My £20 deposit into betfair now sits at £118 after a good week or so (thanks Kev). £8 of that tonight has gone on a Barcelona/Arse/Liverpool treble at about 3.2.
