I was told that cancelling you ST will mean you lose your points regardless of whether you stay a member. If I could have kept my points I would have cancelled by now, as it is I'm still in an undecided limbo :s

I actually think that these penalties are very good, although I expect appeals and for them to be reduced. The squad restrictions will mean the big players wont be happy missing out on CL especially in the year after the WC where they typically could get a big transfer away. The fines should mean that the clubs have to generate £50m more this year to reach the same P/L that they were fined for this year. In theory that means they will have to increase their revenue by £75-100m in a very short space of time or get hit with a more severe penalty
