  1. Sunderland and Villa are still in it, we're level on points with them. The mackems are without key players for the run in and anything can happen after this hammering with that nutcase PDC in charge.
  2. Look at Villa hammering them man. If we had of beaten Sunderland we'd be pretty much safe and they'd be up shit creek 2 points ahead of Wigan. This just makes the derby defeat a million times worse.
  3. It's the day before mine. It could be the best or worst birthday for quite some time.

I'm up to a 9 now. Our disgusting form and the fact that we're level on with 18th really doesn't look good. If we lose this weekend and Wigan win, they could be a point a head of us before we even play QPR.
  5. If Wigan win this weekend and we lose I think we're pretty much down, that's how bad this shit is now.
  6. Sunderland have been dragged back in to it, also Wigan's game against Villa now looks to be more difficult. I'm clutching at straws here, we're gannin doon man.

    Alan Pardew

If Carver or someone took over for the rest of the season they'd probably be given the job full time.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

On his day he can destroy teams like West Ham and QPR more or less on his own. He has to start now. I said it in another thread about the fans calling for him in recent games, especially against Liverpool when he turned and applauded them, you just know he's the type of player who'd be desperate to repay the fans. I think he'll be up for the next three games more than most and given his quality he could be unstoppable.

We've just got to hope the players realise only one win is needed and they go out and batter one of West Ham or QPR, because they're certainly capable. Ben Arfa has to start both games too because you just know the lad wants to go out there and do the right thing, especially with the fans calling for him in recent games.
  10. The thing is, West Ham have the fire in their belly that this squad is missing right now. Big Sam will most definitely want a big win against us too so they'll be right up for it, playing out of their skin probably. Our team just looks gutless at the moment, their confidence will be rock bottom now after Saturday. Plus there is always Pardew, who will be clueless if we go a goal down and completely clueless if we go a goal up. Best case scenario is it's 0-0 until very late on and we get a winner with no time left for Pardew to make a mess of it.

    Alan Pardew

I dunno, I think he's gone at the end of the season. I never thought we'd get rid before then anyway. The thing is, Ashley won't want another relegation, it hits him where it hurts, his pocket. Pardew will either relegate us or barely keep us up, which I think is too much of a gamble to Ashley, especially when we spent big in January and Pardew has done absolutely nothing with those players. Pardew has now demonstrated that he cannot be trusted even when investment is put in to the squad, so where does the club go from here? Why give him another summer of spending when he can't do anything with the team he has, one that has been largely built during his time here. There is also the risk of results being terrible at the start of next season and Ashley having to sack Pardew early on, possibly leading to another managerial roller-coaster which ended in us going down last time. The writing is on the wall and it is clear to see that Pardew has completely lost his grip on the squad and club, he literally can't manage this team anymore and will most definitely take us down next season if we survive and he stays. Why risk giving him millions to spend in the summer and then go on to risk valuable games at the start of the season? Get rid immediately after the Arsenal game, get a new manager in and give him the summer to reshape the squad and get the players used to his tactics etc in pre-season. If Ashley can't see this then we are just fucked and there is absolutely nothing we as fans can do about it.

    Alan Pardew

    Fucking thread title!
  13. I think he's just getting until the end of the season.
  14. The thought of losing heavily to Arsenal at home on the last day of the season to send us into the Championship turns my stomach.

Relying on away games to stay in the Premier League, in a season where we've won once away from home in 17 attempts.

    Alan Pardew

Unless Pardew is sacked there's only one way it's going to go. Agreed. Agreed. Agreed.

We're fucking shit and yet every game recently has been 50,000+. We were probably getting those before we went down last time as well tbf. Getting relegated again and losing a load of our good players because of one man's incompetence will be the final straw for a lot of people, especially if Pardew is still here. I honestly think Pardew could relegate us twice man, it's fucking terrifying to think about how close we are to that happening.

    Alan Pardew

Didn't Pardew say his position will be decided at a post season performance review, or something along those lines? If he has a performance review I really fail to see how he can still have a job at the end of it.

If we go down and Pardew is still our manager I can see quite a few turning their backs on the club until he is gone.

Wigan have their last 5 games in the space of 15 days I think? They will struggle with that, especially with one eye on the final.
  22. West Ham are a million miles from us atm, plus Fat Sam will be pulling out all the stops to humiliate us further. The writing is on the wall as far as I'm concerned. 2-0 defeat.
