I’d be gutted to see Tripps go but if we got Kimmich it’d be a good move. Tino is more than capable of playing right back for us going forward. Will miss Tripps but we’ll be saying farewell to a lot of our favourites during this journey.

I'm not sure what the plans are but having a top academy is key to getting around FFP so its probably one of the priorities over the coming years.

I'd happily sell Willock, Miley and Almiron for £120m. It'd do us wonders getting around FFP, we'd actually really kick on with that. It would be a shame to lose Willock and Miley but Willocks injury problems are a massive concern and Miley is still unproven. There's no chance we get anything like those figures though.

If this stuff about Phillips trying to get his loan fee down is true you really have to laugh at City. Full of money, cheated their way to bend the FFP rules, spent ludicrous money on players in the last decade to buy their trophies, but they are crying over a couple of million for a player who doesn't even get any game time for them. I can only assume he will go at some point late in the window for a lot less than the £6m fee being mentioned at the minute.

Bruno is obviously not going anywhere in January. We have Tonali banned, Joelinton out for the season and Willock seemingly permanently injured as well. Bruno is the only player stopping us from having a Championship at best midfield 3, why would we sell him? Obviously he has a release clause that may well be tied to Madrid or Barca, but even if it wasn't is anyone paying about £100m for him? He's class but £100m is Bellingham money.

Looks like promo stuff for the summer when Adidas takes over. It'll be interesting to see if its just showing our history with Adidas or if we can actually buy these tops again from the official store.

No they aren't. Howe said the squad has been very busy in recent months so they're giving them time off with their families.

Villa will probably be another bad day at the office but after that we've plenty there to go on a good run to finish off the season. Its actually pretty telling that we're still in touching distance of the top 7 after what, 1 win and 6 losses in our last 7 games? Any sort of run puts us right back in there. Tonali's second game. Tonali is a signing in the category of Isak, Botman and Bruno, who knows what way he'd have been playing for us now after several months. Our midfield game could have been completely different once he settled.

People saying about the gaps in midfield need to remember that Howe couldn't have predicted Tonali's ban and Joelinton and Willock's injuries. Thats 2 big midfielders out for pretty much the whole season so far and Joelinton has been coming in and out of injury throughout the season as well. Those are huge losses for us in midfield and its obvious that they are trying to find someone in the mould of Phillips to help us out so the problem has been identified. We've just had shit, rotten luck all season. Its fucking shite but the squad is decimated and when you've 11 players out this shit happens.

Terrible second half. Its a real shame because at half time it looked like we were getting through them out wide but we didn't even try and do it again second half like. But still, at least the side who can spend a billion this window if they wanted got their win, we'll just try and get someone on loan to sort ourselves out.

I think people will be surprised at our summer business. Our owners are here to compete for the top trophies, and although no one expects us to next season, it'll be important that we use every summer to close the gap, we're not going to do that spending 60 or 80 million. I don't know the exact FFP figures with regards what we can spend but our owners and those running the club know we can't just stand still for another season and we'll be doing that by spending so little when the squad still needs big investment. They'll have a plan and it could well include selling a prized asset like Bruno to allow us to really go hard on incomings. We'll see, but I'm fairly confident the spending will be well north of £100m again.
