I genuinely don't know why you'd be looking forward to promotion as one of these fans. No one is gonna tell me Saints fans enjoyed this season over last season. So you get to play big clubs instead of the likes of Plymouth every week, who gives a fuck though if you end up having 10 points after 31 games?

Promotion in the Premier League is becoming more and more pointless as every season passes. Obviously there's a financial benefit but the promoted clubs need an exceptional season to even have a sniff of staying up. They can't throw money behind the squad to improve it because the costs of going from the top of the Championship to mid table Premier League are well beyond what PSR allows. Forest went for it and got punished, now it's worked out for them in the long run but other clubs won't want to take the risk of points being deducted. Just look at the Championship table now. Sheffield United were a joke last season and now they're on course to come back. Just completely and utterly pointless as they'll clearly be getting smashed and sent back down next season if they do come up.

Got a bit emotional with that. My grandmother who passed away 3 years ago would have had the final on ITV cheering away and she'd have got a phone call from me right after full time just like she did after my first match at SJP many moons ago. I could manage 1000 games easily if the extent of my work was two days a week at the training ground, drinking bovril and doing nothing, then at the weekend go to the game like any other supporter. Could easily do about 2 or 3 thousand if I have to.

I don't understand the hostility Liverpool fans have towards TAA, that they don't have for Salah and VVD. Yes he's a local lad, but he's played 350 games for them and won everything, maybe he wants to travel a bit and try something new? He owes them nothing. They seem to think he should sign a new contract so Liverpool gets a fee, but that could completely jeopardise his move. What if Liverpool want £80m for him and Madrid say no thanks? He arrived as a child for free and after everything he's done he should be allowed to go for free with his head held high.
