He’s like an even more technical CB than Schar, and with pace. Not seen much of him but looked impressive the little time I’ve seen him. Think he’s 22 and not 20.

Anyone think that we’ll still be interested in him January? My guess is that they would ask for 45m+ or similar? I hope we don’t waste any time on him whatsoever. One player that might be out of our reach (not impossible) depending on the competition. That’s Tomas Araujo. Not seen that many games but from what I’ve seen I really like the look of him. Would probably cost more than 45 from what I’ve read.

I genuinely don’t think WE can get Guehi for cheap. Some other club might get him for a more reasonable price though. Most importantly I hope we don’t waste time on him.

Most definitely both can work. I’m all for it. Just that I’m more open to thinking more long term now I guess. Especially when you consider the “lack” of RW that can go straight in and be mega good without costing 60m or whatever.

What do people feel regarding us going for proven quality or slightly less proven but massive potential? (In January) Personally i think I’ve changed my mind slightly regarding this. I mean I don’t want us to go for players that won’t be ready to challenge for a place, like 17-18 year olds. But at the same time I’m not sure if it’s worth going for the likes of Semenyo, Guehi and Mbeumo for say £50+ million. Obviously not against it but maybe we can find something very very good in between for say 30-40m and maybe get two in. Players that will improve us but most importantly grow during the season. Say aged 19-22 or thereabouts . Whatever they go for I hope it’s players with very high technical ability. I’m all for whatever category/profile we go for tbh. I’ve never really wanted or demanded that we go for 50-60m players. I’d be very happy if we could be like say Dortmund for example. The rest will take care of itself within time.
