The best buy would be Beattie imo (Premiership proven)....Would be quite cheap..And when in form he scores quite a few. He's tall and strong. I believe that a club change for him would be really good. I do believe he could do well here with some more creative players with pace around him. And owen is coming back as well.. There are better players out there, but we need to build a team/squad Instead of putting £10m+ on Bent invest the money in a LB and RB. And if money available put it on a good CB (if there even is that kind of money of buing bent for 10)

Something like Ibrahimovic goal for ajax (was it against Nac Breda?) that was one hell of a goal... (and you dont need to tell me that it's not the best league bluewink.gif But still one of the best goals i have ever seen in my life... And he's playing really well again after the poor last season he had with Juve. First choice striker for Inter atm.. Cant believe some people were saying that he's shit and vastly overrated..Just because he had a bad season (which i blame Capello for)

I never had the energy to reply on some peoples opinions about Martins...I've said it before and am saying it again, I do believe he will be a success for years to come...

Good stuff mate... You really made some good pints there...i mean points.. bluebiggrin.gif

I do feel that we have some good players in our squad. But i do feel that we MUST have some strength and height in our team. We get too easily pushed around against more physical players. And we really do get ourselves under big pressure because of that. Especially away, but also at home lately because the oppositon know our weaknesses and take use from that. I mean we have been outplayed by many teams at home in both short and longer periods of the match. And then we easily when under pressure become nervous when defending and concede silly goals. Of course it's about tactics as well and because some players simply aren't up to the challenge. Other teams take points much more often than we do even when playing quite badly. Newcastle need to build a team. A TEAM with quality wins trophys. Not a cirkus that once in a while play lovely games and then loose a few and goes back to zero... The hole structure and strategy of trying to make NUFC what the fans deserve has been awfully wrong. I just dont get it. how comes that the people making these decision have got it so badly wrong season after season. The team needs a stabile ground to stand on from the first look of it, and then build it on from there... I just could not get it when i watched the game against reading. Almost everyone of their players have played in the championship last season and we still got outplayed in many periods.....Because they played like a TEAM and to their strengths. Everyone of their players knew their role very well and what to do and when.. Yes you can blame the injurys and so on. But thats one hell of a bad excuse if you ask me. Even when many important players are missing, those who do come in instead has to know at least the basics of the team strategy of play. If everyone would know their job we would at least not be running around like headless chickens with mustard up in the asses. Of course the injurys do effect on the good football because some of the players do not have the understanding with each other because they have rarely played together and that makes it hard to play flowing football. And some low confidence here and there also contributes to it as we have seen. But apart from that why the F**k are some players running around and wondering "what the hell am i going to do, or where the hell should i be" Those basics the players have to know and be able to do even if it's our 467th choice of all our strikers. Thats only basics. And if that doesn't work how are we going to get a result when we dont play our best football?? (that we dont even play often enough lately) Because some of the positioning from some of the players here and there i just cant understand. Its frightening. A VERY good example of a team with great organisation and team strategy is the swedish national team. Who can argue about that? Everyone knows their role into perfection. If there is a couple of important players injured or suspended the replacements do know exactly what to do and how to act during the game and can come in and do a great job even if they hardly ever get picked in the starting eleven. even if the Swedish team doesn't play as well as usual they work as team still and make it hard for the other team to win against them beause the work as a unit... Sorry about the english atm, and i have probably written the same things over and over here and there. But after a couple of beers and some stress it's quite hard to write something good to read...Going out with some friends and im in a hurry..if i just can get away from this bloody forum :winking:...

What i really loved to see in Emre's play against reading was his running with the ball through their midfield with the ball so close at his feet. He is really quick in his turns with ball close to his feet, he just turns and changes direction on minimal space but still has the speed and control. The reading player were like titanic while emre was a speedboat running rings around them. He's hard to catch when he's on fire, hopefully he can find som consistency, and i do feel that he is getting more adjusted to the english style of play. He really has high potential and is a greatly talented player. And NO im not getting carried away just because of his performance in the game last night. But he's always been a special talent just that he has never got his REAL breakthrough. When he was playing for galatasaray he was one of the rising stars in the world of football.. Hopefully We can see a more consistent Emre. Because when he is at his best, he is worldclass imo...Just that he needs a much higer level on his "not so good performances" He's never been a real goalscoring midfielder. But he makes things happen when he's on fire. that's what really makes a worldclass player. Highlevel performances game after game, season after season....Too bad that hasn't happened. But many players out there have been real stars in the making in their earlier years and then gone into the shadow for a few years but then when getting older their true talent shows up again. Hopefully this maybe could happen to Emre. I do believe Emre has his best years in front of him, at least i do hope so...
-
I bet that baines would cost a fortune?? for our transfer money anyway..
-
Some people really are too optimistic about players for our club atm...
-
Emre was our best player...Easily imo..
-
i agree but the booing against him was disgraceful imo Get him out of the club..he's shit..i agree about that..
-
that also of course...But he would get quite a few more clean chances if he did his runs correctly
-
he probably has no idea when the ball will be played, given the changes in the team every week Is that your answer about the problem?? bluelaugh.gif Dear God
-
I wonder how dangerous Martins "could be" if he had some more movement....He has the pace but often when the ball goes through he hasn't started running. HE HAS to be a little bit smarter sometimes, and above everything he should show more often where he wants the ball with his runs even if he doesn't get the ball every time. He rarely takes the run before the ball is played....
-
Im wondering if we may be able to get Jankulovski on loan from Milan or signed for a decent price..Anyone knows if he has been playing recently? At least he can pass the ball and is good going forward.. It´s quite hard to find a LB these days that are not overpriced or shit...Anyone else has a LB in mind?

No different to Owen in that its silly to either spend huge amounts on, or pay huge amounts to, a crock who only plays a handful of games a season. what i meant is that some people dislike him (Dyer) because he's on big wages...Or uses his wages as one of the reasons to dislike him...
-
Some people seem to dislike Dyer because of his wages as a reason...F****ng silly... Who wouldn't want to be on big wages? Aint his fault that he got offered that kind of money... Maybe you can blame him for much, but not for that imo...
-
I got some stick for what i wrote about dyer a while ago...Who's laughing now? If he just can stay fit...fingers crossed..
-
i would rather keep milner and put the money where it's needed.. Time to build a TEAM....
-
another stupid thread :winking:
-
People already writing Martins off..He has by no means been a hit yet or anything...But people. come on, get real..
-
He has already said that he is not mooving and he is very hapy playing for his home town. He spoke out after he was linkied with the Villa.. yes he said. And if he was to leave Helsingborg it would be for barca who have been strongly linked with a move for larsson in januari..
-
what was all this shit talk from ******* that close contacts to him said that if needed Luque would put his hand in a fire or something...
-
Anyone know what wages Luque is on?? around £50k?
