Don’t like the injuries, but handle the occasion and play in a relaxed way with intensity and belief and we definitely have a good chance at home. CL is different to playing the better teams in our league. Especially for the ones with no experience from the CL.

Bellingham is better than Anderson.

I never want to see him leave. But if/when he does i hope its to RM or similar. Not to fucking Liverpool or Chelsea to name two. Hopefully the clause is for teams outside of our league.

Whatever we do go for i hope its quality before quantity. We have some decent depth now compared to before (ignoring the current injuries) so we won’t need to plug too many gaps every window. Signing 1-2 players each window of the highest quality should be the way forward now. Personally I think a right sided wide player and CB should be priority whenever we sign the next two (maybe CM too). Get the best ones available out there in the age group of say 19-24 or thereabouts. But for players that are likely to make a difference more or less from the off, or after some bedding in.

Personally think Anderson has been a bit meh.

Doubt he will but I hope to see Tonali start. Would be a good chance for him to hopefully flourish and build some proper confidence. Would like to see him with Bruno and Joelinton. Can’t see Longstaff not starting. Probably him with Joe and Bruno. Maybe maybe Elliot will start ahead of Joe but I’m not sure.

We make a hell of a lot of fouls too. Often unpunished.

A very very nice reminder for some. Absolutely top class player who's a level above most. You can talk all you want about his lack of pace defensively at times. I wouldn't swap any of his better attributes for a bit better recovery pace. Get the balance and tactis right and it wont be a problem. Have the right setup with the right type of players around him and he will just boss it. His little touches here and there, his neat flicks and progressive passing and his movement in one two's is just a class above. He is more press resistant than a vacuum bag. Unbelievable. If i was one of the other top top teams then i'd easily pay 100-150m for him. Build the team around him, he's the foundation of our future. Having said all this, even i almost had forgotten how fucking good a footballer he is. First time i thought our midfield looked balanced in the 2nd half with Joe, Tonali and Bruno. Did look much more correct positionally both on and off the ball. They have barely played together but there's massive potential there if we can get it right on regular basis. Get a prime HBA type of RW and we are more than well on our way.
