100% elite!!

Not many “elite” players in this world then…….

I think he did very well overall towards the end of the season, especially when considering he’s new to the league and in a non functional WH team.

He is very good. If not elite now then he absolutely will become at city under Pep. 99% certain.

I’m pretty certain that Tonali or Isak will be our player of the season. Only think I see against him being a massive success would be if he somehow really struggles to adapt to living in England. Football wise he has tons of quality attributes so I just can’t see him not take the league with storm. It might take a little while but he will get there. It’s a bit unfortunate that we don’t have an easier start to the season. Would have been much easier to him more game time early on. Only a matter of time though.

I see more people moaning about others opinions than I see people actually saying that they are disappointed. I’m on neither side.

I like Miggy, and I think Gordon can grow and do well at RW too. None of them offers what I’d ideally want in a new RW though. That is creativity and flair. A player that can help us to beat teams that sit very deep. Think teams will be less naive against us this coming season. Especially the lesser teams. Would love a creative right sided player that is relatively pacey and has the technical ability and imagination to a bit more unexpected, and I don’t mean someone in the mould of ASM.

How much has Livramento played as a LB?

Will be excited to see more of this lad. Think he will be a great success. Even if he is eased in slowly. He will shine sooner or later.

Im not saying that it should be a priority over CB and LB. But none of the ones you mentioned gives me much confidence against teams that sit back and kill all the space. Teams this season will be more aware and less naive and try to avoid giving us too many transitions or space in behind. Low block defending, especially from the lesser teams. If we want to evolve then I’d rather not see Murphy start too many games for us. Why did so many on here mention a right sided player (most did) as what we really should get. Suddenly many on here don’t think it’s needed. I’m not demanding it, and won’t get pissed off about it. Just what I think we really need.

I don’t agree regarding that we have enough in the wide areas. We need a quality right sided player imo. And have needed for I don’t know how many windows. Preferably a left footed one, creative.

I'm a bit surprised that we've only added two players so far. In a way we've improved the depth of our squad with +1 only. Still time before the window closes and most important is to get the right players in obviously. I just thought we'd attack" the window slightly more agressively. Howe would have wanted more players in early, like every other manager wants for preseason. Prices have gone bananas doesn't help really. Hopefully we can get the numbers and quality in before the end. As of now it's looking rather thin in a few areas. Can't wait for some new players to add to this squad.

My thoughts too. Never say never though. We'd need to be lucky with injuries and so on.

Knee injury now or not. Too much of a risk for the money mentioned. Yet I see people say he’s worth a punt and that our medical team know better. They can’t see the future. There’s always a risk with ACL players. I also don’t like when we get linked with injury prone players like Tierney for example. Hopefully this isn’t a serious injury for him, especially not another knee injury.
