When Joao Pedro scored that late goal against us at St James last season I remember thinking at the time that I was looking forward to the 25th of April of 2023 where we would be discussing CL being so so close.
-
Can’t wait for this game ? Let’s smash them!
-
Come on West Ham! If they at least draw while we win against Everton I really think it’s more or less done. Unless Brighton miraculously slap all the big teams and win which seems extremely unlikely (we would have to implode too)
-
I think I would prefer a draw between Spurs and ManU. Especially when considering the injuries ManU have. Always nice to have another team than us “risk” losing out instead of there being only one spot to fight for. Plus it would be sweet to end in 3rd which ain’t impossible. ManU play Spurs, Villa and Brighton next I think. As long as Spurs don’t win. Even with that said I don’t see Spurs finding good enough out of nowhere anyway.

I don't think so personally. He has dominated against most midfields in the league. It's not just 2-3 games where he's shown what he is capable of. I see people on here and other forums saying that Bruno is one of the best PL CM. He hasn't played tons of games either really.
-
Caicedo is not english but younger and better overall than Rice imo. Cheaper too overall. Both would be amaxing signings like. Don't see us going for either.
-
This. More allround imo.
-
I think we will end up 3rd or 5th Most likely 3rd.
-
If he runs sideways then only two stands will see him. Might be an option to keep the crowd more calm.

Doesn't work quite as easy as that Some decisions against us will have helped us gain points in other matches in a way. Coming back after unfair results and all that. Plus i'm sure we have got some decisions lucky too.
-
Would be quite nice if WH beat Liverpool on wednesday before we play Everton away. 12 point lead and it's all but done.

"Is this real life" crossed my mind over and over again yesterday

After our game against Spurs i've gone from "i don't dare to believe" to i genuinely think we can do it and that there's a very good chance that we make it. Not taking anything for certain quite yet, just game by game. What gives me the most belief is the momentum and boost in confidence this win most certainly has given us. We'll be far more confident and relaxed now and that will make the world of difference. Swagger is key. I know we had 5 wins in a row before a bad off day against Villa and that it may sound odd mentioning "momentum" when it hasn't even been completely lost really. But the 1st half against West Ham and Brentford we looked very poor and maybe even a bit fatiqued physically but mostly mentally, and then the Villa game came. No matter how poor Spurs might have been it's still Spurs and we slaughtered them and made them worse than they are. It's still against a big name team and this win will have us hitting proper momentum and on a different level confidence wise and maybe most importantly allow us to play more relaxed. I'm usually never confident against Everton away but i'm more confident now than ever. Bring em on!

Well if Caicedo said that he has no interest in us then obviously we wont even try. Also, i don't think he's "high profile" enough for RM. Not even as much as Camavinga or Tchouameni. If they go for a CM it's Bellingham i think.

IF we get CL then i genuinely don't know what kind of resources we'll have for transfers. Also no idea how many players we actually are looking to sign (seen reports though). However IF we could afford it without running the risk of not being able to strengthen other areas too then i would love us to go for Caicedo. IF we were to spend that amount money i'd rather have him than Rice as he is more of an allrounder who's pretty good at everything basically. Also his wages would not be much more than half of Rice's. I love hearing Howe say "Elite players" as it means that we will only go for top top quality unless potential as backup. Someone like Ugarte, Thuram or Kone might be more likely and i'd be very happy with either of those as i don't feel like we need a pure DM. Ugarte probably is more of a pure DM with ball carrying and tecnical ability but he would also cost half of Rice basically. Not that i think we will get Rice anyway. Caicedo would be a bullet proof guaranteed top quality no risk signing that would make our CM arguably the best in the league. Sort of a VVD kind of signing if you like. As said though, i doubt we'd spend 80m+ on a single player. We spent a lot on Isak but slightly different as he's a striker and Wilson our only option got injured. Who knows... Quality before quantity

What a lovely monday morning to wake up to. Easiest morning in ages to get my super fit body up and ready.
-
Same team, and I also think we will win. Might do some changes after this one but not now I reckon.
-
I didn’t say anything weeks ago, but I am now. No it’s not over yet.
-
He was class. Smart positioning and great timing defensively too.
-
Doubt they will catch us but the only “serious” threat I see now is Liverpool. Mostly because of their fixture list. Having said that it would take a collaps for us too. Tottenham look wrong in many ways and have tough games. Brighton have tough games too. Wouldn’t surprise me if we end up in 3rd either.
-
Hoping that Liverpool drop points against WH away.
-
We have too much quality and momentum and belief. All out attack and beat the cunts. 1 point doesn’t do us much good.
-
Go at them, in their faces! They struggle to get a couple of passes together when under pressure. We have momentum and should and probably will attack them as if we were playing at home. Too deep or sloppy in possession will only invite them to bombarsing the box. 1-3 to us. Think we will play like a proper big club oozing confidence and belief and not feeling the pressure as much.
-
Decent 1st half. Think we looked slightly better in that half than the ones against WH and Brentford.
