Losing out on players happen where players choose the other club, but we haven’t even really had any bids accepted have we? We are aiming high and I like that, but we also need to be prepared to pay high if we aim high. That’s not to say that we shouldn’t be cautious as well money wise.

Think this one will be difficult to do. I don’t think Brentford will sell him for cheap at all, they might as well keep him as he’s massively important to them. Especially now when Mbeumo has left. I also don’t see us willing to pay up because of his age. Very good player though. IF it happens it will take a long time I reckon.

I said when the window opened that I was unsure if we have the right people with real know how, experience and negotiation skills to do various deals. I’m yet to be convinced. Hopefully it will all gain momentum soon, but time is ticking.

I agree about us refusing to be held to ransom at times and hold our ground in the best way possible. Having said that, sooner or later we will have to buy players or stand there empty handed.

Well it’s a massive summer transfer window and we are quite slow in general. Kind of natural that this comes up quite often tbf. Hopefully things can move quickly soon, because it’s massively important that we do. Failure isn’t an option.
