If we get our two key targets right at CB and and RW then our team/squad is looking very very good . Massively important that the money that goes into these positions really makes a major difference both short term and long term. Ideally in this window, because then we look extremely strong and likely to get into that top 4 which would be massive going forward. We could still make the top 4 even if we only get Guehi, but if we somehow could get a RW too then that improves our chances greatly. We’re now in a position where we are trying to find tune the engine to get every last percentage out. For that we need proper signings taking us forward, and not just improving depth. Also key to keep our best players beyond this season.

Yes I think we are getting into Europe but I’m not taking anything for granted like some seem to do. I think we are likely to do it. Say one bad injury to Isak or Bruno and it can very easily go not so good. Other teams have strengthened quite a bit too. Not saying that the other teams that look stronger on paper will all do well, but if it clicks for them and they are lucky with injuries. If we are a bit lucky then I think it’s too 4 for us, but so much can happen.

Easy to say. But it depends on injuries. Guehi added makes a big difference to the overall quality/depth. How it makes us much less vulnerable in this area if we suffer injuries at CB. Even more than we already have there. Also takes us up a level. Not just defensively but also in the build up when in possession.

It feels like people think we have 10 quid to spend on a RW because we might overpay a bit for Guehi. The talk from the club regarding ffp/PSR definitely has worked a treat going by the sounds of it on social media and media in general. Yes I don’t think we have ridiculous amounts available, but I think it’s more of about finding the right RW that we can attract, and that doesn’t cost 65m for example. You see lots of financial numbers here and there with people trying to figure out how much we can spend. We probably don’t have tons, obviously. However I’m pretty sure it’s very difficult to guess even closely to what we actually can/can’t spend as we don’t have all the facts.
