Poor half so far.

I think it’s very nice to see some of the younger promising players getting the actual chance to play with some of our better players. Instead of swapping the whole team at half time only to play with other academy players. Much better this way.

I have absolutely zero doubt that we will do very well at home overall. It’s the away performances that need improvement. Hopefully we can get a great start in the first few away games to build some momentum and consistency. Sort that out and I’m absolutely certain that we will easily compete for the top 4 places. Yeah, luck with injuries as well.

Good to miss now though, instead of during the season I guess.

I think Howe could make Madueke great. Think it would be very good for Madueke to move to us and to a settled environment for his career, for many reasons. He has many raw ingredients that I like. Fine tune him and he could be some player tbh.

Maybe aye, however it’s not quite as easy always tbh. Could very well mean that we are prepared to go quite a bit higher but put a 2nd bid in too low which we know will be rejected. Say we put 55m for example it would still get rejected. 50 now makes our last and third final offer look much better if it goes from 50 to 60 for example. Bid 55 2nd bid and we might have to pay 65 in the end instead. Or something like that

Just hope we don’t keep wasting too much time on it if we aren’t convinced that the deal will get done. I’m fine if it’s a game of chess taking time if we do get the deal done. If numbers are to be believed we do seem quite far off their valuation as of now. Hopefully 55m + add ons (5-10) can get it done. Think we will have to get up towards 60m + add ons though.

I don’t think I’ve ever thought this way about a potential signing but here it is. Put aside all of his obvious qualities and what he would bring to the team with all of his great attributes. A relatively big reason I also want him is because, Wow, what a genuinely nice person he seems, like ridiculously genuine and humble. We talk about character and mentality when it comes to players which obviously is important for many reasons. His attitude is great, he has leadership and the right mentality. I really hope we get him because I really like him already and he isn’t even our player, because he seems to be a lovely guy to have around too.

Yes we have more important areas, I get that. But for me it doesn’t change the fact that we don’t have quality in depth there and that we are vulnerable in that area.

We have enough in numbers, yes, but not in quality! We look very vulnerable there.

Hopefully this won’t drag on for too long no matter what way it ends up. Risk of another club going coming in and not wasting time, or less time for us to pursue other targets. Fingers crossed this is very close to happening.

Ridiculously good signing. They also manage to do them quickly/quietly. Doubt we will sign another CM but I think we lack in that area. We don’t have quality in depth there. We barely have any backup of similar standard.
