Whatever and whenever we sign a new player I want it to be composed and technical players that improve us in general play and possession. Would also like to see Howe come up with something that improves our control regarding this. I still think we should do better with what we have to be honest. And no, I don’t want us to be like endless tiki taka, it’s not about that. If you think we shouldn’t be and do better in this area then I don’t know what to say. As much as I like them we need to replace the likes of Burn and Joelinton to name two, no matter how well they’ve done at times. To evolve we need to get better in this area, I said it before last season and it’s one of the reasons I was against us signing Barnes. (Elanga as well)

Not sure PSR is the reason that we decide to not press and invite them onto us by sitting too deep. To me it’s like giving the opposition the momentum on a silver plate. Especially when we are bad at getting hold of the ball again from deep.

But he could have done something, like putting Miley on earlier for Joelinton to provide some calmness and composure in possession. Maybe it wouldn’t have helped, but doing nothing definitely doesn’t help. it was so inevitable that they were going to score, just a matter time. But we just did nothing and waited. After that it’s a bit too late really. Difficult situation to come in when it’s panic mode and no shape and we look all over the place and lack composure.

Why not freshen up a bit and put Miley on earlier for Joelinton? We lacked composure and needed a bit of that from Miley to regain control of possession. Joelinton has been very poor lately, I would have started Miley. As long as we win it’s almost the same team every single time. Yes we have some poor quality as backup but still.

I find it shocking how poor we are in possession overall, and this is also when winning.
