Elanga has been very high up on the RW list. No two ways about it. Szoboszlai was always meant as one for our midfield three. Olise was a pipe dream. I don’t even think we made an official bid for him. At least not what I remember reading from anyone reliable. Don’t think Maddison would have played there either if we had gone hard for him. Mbeumo yeah, fair enough. Either way, even if he had a player or two higher on his list than Elanga it doesn’t make it right to sign him because we missed out on another player. Extremely limited player who had the the absolute perfect setup for him at Forest built around his strengths and where there was tons of space and runs to make in straight lines.
