Personally i think the Cabaye/Tiote partnership has been a bit overrated.

I really want him to start against Southampton instead of Tiote, his vision and passing is superior to Tiote's. Releases the ball much quicker which gives us an advantage and better space and time for the player that receives the ball from him. I think by playing him Cabaye would naturally not end up too deep. Want Cabaye where he was against Chelsea, dictating the play and tempo with Sissoko dragging the opposition out of position with HBA and Gouffran as well. Tiote's one or two extra seconds holding on to the ball makes a very big difference to our fluidity.

Add him to what we can field now, talk about the icing on the cake

Apart from two bad impact injuries he hasn't missed a lot before this latest muscle injury. Not offer a new contract? He's not like Kieron Dyer FFS!

Why not start him against Southampton if fit? He came back against Spurs at home after missing most of preseason and still looked like our fittest player on the pitch.

I don't disagree Dave, i think we should have won as well. My point was that we weren't as solid defensively as some might think. My post was 'quite' shit tbh as i didn't actually mention my point.

People also forget that they should have scored 2 goals in the first half when they cut us open.

Perch's passing is not as good as Tiotés but Perch releases the ball quicker imo.

Bale is better than HBA! But HBA is a more talented player, if he could find some consistency he'd be better than Bale if you ask me.
