He looks like his mam combed his hair and put a nice parting in the side before dropping him off bless him.

At least if they do sack him they'll have to pay the useless mag cunt a decent wedge. That should put a hole in their January transfer budget

Only the same as a lot on here, tbf. The Ashley bummers are no better than mackems #subtext.

Even if it's not true it can't be far off. The owners of the club have been sinking money into some shite deals on the advice of Agent Bruce.

Plus the horrific injuries. Poor sods. Bolton seem to be less physical this year. They've tried to play on the deck against the two Manchester clubs and have got taken apart in both games.

Watching Phil Jones setting up Rooney's goals just drove home how important a ball playing full back is.

There's a been a thread started having a go at African players. You couldn't make it up http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=626660

He's right unfortunately

If they are saying the wages have gone up 7% then I'm inclined to believe them tbh. Although we've let some players go, quite a few have come in. Even the likes of Mehdi Abeid are going to need paying. Ba will be on more than Carroll was last season I would imagine. Marveaux and Cabaye won't play for peanuts. It's easy to overlook but we probably have a deeper squad than last season.

Why? What's he on? 80k isn't it? Pretty sure we won't go much above 50k. Whether we should or not is a whole topic by itself. So "couldn't" is a misrepresentation. And I've no idea what he's on, neither do you. I do know that they have made out like Enrique, Barton, Nolan, Carroll were all on mega money that was unsubstainable and yet the wage bill has supposedly gone up by 7%. So what are the new lads on? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/6990213/Daniel-Sturridge-could-cost-Chelsea-as-much-as-6.5m.html a) I don't think journalists know a player's personal financial circumstances any more than you or I do b) I would say £60k would be a more than fair wage for a player of his talent, in fact I'd say we were getting him cheap if that's what we had to pay, not that it necessarily would have been of course If it's 60k a week then I would agree that would be cheap for a player of his ability. It's also why I said whether we should have a higher wage ceiling is another topic. I'd like it if we did but we don't.

We couldn't pay Sturridge's wages, wouldn't matter if he was for sale for £10m, never mind £20m.

The way things are going Agent Bruce is going to get his cards before the job is done. Hopefully that clueless Irish prick Quinn will dither long enough to see them through the trap door and Brewcie seal the MBE

I know Stoke are our direct competition for the hallowed top 10 finish but I still want them to beat the Kop Kry Babies. Go on my Stoke.

Counting down the weeks when he can escape the hell hole no doubt.

Who'd have thought?

While I've made the same point myself a few times, I think it was a mistake for Llambias to say it publicly. Obviously if an owner thinks he's hated by the fans he's not going to feel like spending his own money on the club. But to say that openly is frankly stupid. It makes you look petty and it's not the image a professional businessman should want to display. It's probably the only answer I think was a bad one, the rest were fairly decent.
-
Don't think we'll have to wait too long for that either.

the idea that these are the only two credible choices is astonishingly stupid tbf. though quite entertaining to watch the mental contortions you put yourself through in order to defend the indefensible. one of the other alternatives is to try and effect change whatever way you can. i'd say pardew is pleased to have such a big job considering his career record is mediocre, so he's not going to give it up just yet. but that's not to say he's not disappointed in the board, as any manager in football would be working for such unprofessional clowns. for the next few months and going into the january window he'll be walking a tightrope, trying to engineer pressure for funds, using his influence both in public and behind closed doors, while at the same time trying to stay in the good books of his employers. won't be easy. not surprising that you are oblivious to this subtle and complex course of diplomacy. It's a dangerous game playing both sides though. While it's daft to suggest he should quit, there's every chance his employers might get itchy fingers if they think he is fishing for sympathy at their expense. If he loses his job not many Newcastle fans who he is trying to appease will give a flying fuck so he should perhaps choose his words with a bit more care IMO.

Which Sunderland players reside in Newcastle? At this point it's probably worth pointing out that Gateshead and Northumberland are not part of Newcastle. most newcastle players live in newcastle and its suburbs, how many sunderland players, for the record, actually live in sunderland? plenty of footballers who have played for both newcastle and sunderland have ended up living in Newcastle city centre. Has a single player from either team EVER lived in sunderland city centre? how come you don't find Newcastle players clamouring to live in Albania on wear? Odd, isnt it? Kieran Richardson and a few SAFC players live(d) in the Echo 24 flats near the Wearmouth Bridge. My mate used to live there and often saw him in the lift. Quinny has a place in there also. Several SAFC players live in the Ashbrooke area of the city, which is very nice and there are a few others in other parts of the city as well. There aren't many in the city centre, but that is perhaps something to do with the fact that there isn't much choice in terms of posh apartments. The majority of those living on the Quayside on Tyneside live in Gateshead (Baltic Quays). I'm not suggesting for a second that some SAFC players don't live or go out in Newcastle (though Darras is in Northumberland in point of fact), but this notion that no SAFC players live, drink or eat on Wearside is just that: a myth. Randy, you talk alot of sense for a mackem. You're an upgrade on the last mong but that sentence is bollocks. Let's be honest here, those players live near Newcastle because that's where everything half decent is. There's no two ways about it so let's not play games. If there were lots of plush luxury apartments in Sunderland city centre I think some players would happily live in them. It doesn't mean they would have to go 'out' in Sunderland. They opened the Echo 24 ones and players/staff moved in subsequently e.g. Richardson and Quinny. A player living in Sunderland doesn't preclude them from going into Newcastle if they so wish. I'm not going come on here and argue against claims that Newcastle has a nicer city centre than Sunderland; it should do given the greater level of money invested in the place. However, as I said earlier, this notion that no Sunderland players live in Sunderland, or would ever eat in restaurants there or go out in the town is tripe. I'm not saying all our players do but plenty do. Those Echo24 flats are total shit, like The Bar in town. When you pull up from the bridge to the traffic lights a lot of windows literally just have sheets up as curtains. The place is literally a set shitbox plasterboard flats for people who earn £1300ish a month. Considering THAT is the best quality modern living in Sunderland says a hell of a lot about why most players live in Durham or Newcastle. Saying that, Sunderland does indeed have a nandos, so that's your black lads sorted. As if they'd actually step foot in Sunderland town centre. They'd end up being chased down the streets by slack jawed mackem yokels with BNP memberships. Which is 90% of them.

It would have been better if he'd just kept quiet about Lovenkrands and Shola tbh. It's just rubbing our noses in the dirt.

Little rascal who wanted to stay or nasty Dek & Chubbs? You know what's coming.................... Doesn't stop it being cringeworthy as far as I'm concerned. Like I said it becomes disrespectful to all the excellent servants to the club who got muted/negative/no reception from our support if Joey Barton gets his name sung. That's rubbish - the fans have an affiliation with him and if they feel the need to show it/sing it then that's upto them. The fans at the match bear little resemblance to those on here in my experience. I think his affiliation with our support is overplayed and his hero status to be over the top for what he contributed to the club. Hence why I'd find it cringeworthy. I find that fans at the match and those on here both have a wide range of contrasting opinions. For example, the lad that sits infront of me fucking hates Joey Barton whereas our resident German would probably have his children if medically possible. Tis a game of opinions. You'll have to tell the lad in front to boo loudly when we play QPR at home to make his opinion heard then because he'll be drowned out by those cheering imho. FWIW, and you can say what you like about JB, it's never at any stage made any sense to get rid of him for nothing. Something else which would have irked the away following and probably majority of home too. Fans are entitled to have their heroes, and if ours want to make one of Joey Barton fine. The fans can think he was worth £6m if they like but that doesn't change the fact that no decent club was willing to pay money for him. In fact no decent club was even willing to take him for free, otherwise I'm sure he wouldn't have picked QPR as his club of choice. There's the cold hard reality.

I would agree that Pardew needs to stop playing the double game, but to suggest he should quit is a bit much. Maybe he should learn to reign in his patter though. The gushing praise of Barton while the player himself was taking potshots at the clubs owners was a dangerous game, and it gives the impression that everyone isn't pulling in the same direction.

I regard him now as I did when he came here. I'm not particularly concerned about his relationship with Mike or Dekka. I'm more interested in how he uses the resources available to him which is all we can judge him on at the end of the day.
