    Xisco

At the same time he's been unimpressive at first team and reserve level. Its not as if he's been harshly omitted from the side. Aye he's been given more than enough chances, like Carroll. Carroll has been given more than enough chances? He's proven himself to be our second best striker and deserves his place. we only have 3 (essentially) strikers. the others being a player with 1 start and ameobi. 2nd by default sadly. How've got 3 (essentially) strikers? Ameobi, Ranger, Xisco and Carroll = 4. It's not Carroll's fault that Xisco can't impress any one of about five managers. It's not like the strikers who did impress the managers repaid their faith last season is it? Over-paid, club relegating cunts for the most part.
  2. Thank fuck this is on Sky, The Football Show is a pile of wank, you might as well save yourselves the bother and watch the goals on SSN if you want to see highlights.
  3. we don't. Anyhow, you left a comment on the article, if its such tosh, it isn't worth bothering, surely? I never said it was tosh. It is just the latest in a string of digs at Newcastle in this rag which - literally - goes back more than a DECADE It doesn't matter if you regard it as tongue-in-cheek (I regard it as intending what it achieved - to annoy many fans unnecessarily) you don't see similar articles against other so-called big sides. This. Jesus...now some of you are making the haters seem justified FFS..... Pass the self-flagellation whip to Andy when you've finished, Ron ! You seem to be making better use of it tbf, you might as well keep it til you're done.

    Our tiny squad

I thought it was a bit difficult to judge the youngsters on last night's evidence. Kadar was played alongside an inexperienced fullback which was hardly the best way to blood a youngster, and the midfield was a bit ponderous looking with Butt, Nolan and Geremi all starting which meant the supply to ranger wasn't going to be ideal. I'd like to see them starting in a more balanced side before writing any of them off on that evidence.
  5. Krul looked iffy on those goals, if he is going to come flying out of his goal - and credit to him for having the balls - he really needs to make sure he gets to the ball.
  6. The show is too short. If they are going to show goals from all the various divisions then why not add an extra 30 mins to make a decent programme? Terrestrial twats.
  7. Butt's role is more defensive than Nolan's, if you are going to make comparisons Nolan will have to go up against Barton and Guthrie, they are his natural competitors for a first team shirt.
  8. From what I've seen of this programme it's a waste of time. Just basically a re-run of the goals scored apart from one game which is lucky enough to get extended highlights. Reminds me of the bad old days before Sky.
  9. Yea Dos Santos is all left foot from what I've seen. I think he prefers to play on the right though a bit like Messi. Bale is a genuine left-footer for a start. Dos Santos from the little I've seen is almost exclusively right-footed and not a natural wide player. Yeah I got that mixed up. He plays on the right and comes in on his left, so he's left-footed. My bad.

I preferred Thomo's unsubstantiated yet strangely exciting brand of ITK meself like.

    Our tiny squad

Tonight should be a good indicator as to the standard of our youngsters, although there will probably be more of them chucked in at one time than you'd like ideally.

Finally an ITK that is 100% guaranteed true...

    Our tiny squad

That doesnt determine that the youngsters would be some of the better players in the division though does it, which is what we need to expect promotion. There will be a massive drop in the ability of our side if we lose some of our better players to injury and can only bring in reserves in certain areas. With Guthrie/Barton out alone i think we become about 50% worse as a side let alone losing players in other areas like Jonas & Enrique. The only reason its easy to be so optimistic about the kids is because we havent seen them tested at this level. Any side in this division is going to suffer if they lose two of their most influential midfielders, none of them will be able to legislate for that. Jonas and Enrique I agree, we need cover for those two.

    Our tiny squad

This is what a lot of people are losing sight of, while our squad is small, if we could get around three or four signings in for crucial positions we would look pretty healthy compared to most. A centre back, left back and right winger would be top of the list for me. A striker would be the icing on the cake, but we are probably better off giving the likes of Ranger a go ahead of bringing in some nobody on loan.

It's weird how these late bids come in just when you start to think we are going to get something sorted. Handy for Mike though... Or maybe one or two parties who've been thinking they'll leave it and try and get it cheaper have been forced into acting by Moat looking likely to buy us. Maybe. It could also be that they have seen some decent results and have figured that they won't need to invest as much as was first thought into the squad to get promotion. Ashley will be thinking the same thing.

  18. We've made an approach for him, he's waiting to see if a Prem club comes in according to the chronicle.

First thing I thought. f*** 'em, Moat in. First thing that came to my kind as well. Stump up the cash quickly or f*** off basically. The whole thing (welcome, if it was real) sounds very contrived, to me. Don't believe it. Llambiarse was publicising the deal with the Graham Roberts fans bid last week which turned out to be a storm in a tea cup. I hope this is different obviously, but it all seems a bit late to be going through due diligence at this stage. If they are making a bid, DD is done i think. I just read somewhere that they were going through DD, although it would make more sense that it has been done.
  20. He's been promised a coaching role as well. Don't know what's going on at County but hopefully the club will be bankrupt and languishing in non-league football by the time Sol's contract is up.
  21. I'm really looking forward to this, with a decent midfield and a few fresh legs up front it's a great chance to see some of the younger hopefuls like Ranger or Lua Lua show what they can do with a decent run out.

  23. I heard somewhere that County were willing to match his wages at Portsmouth. If that's true then he's obviously going to go there for the money, it's similar to us chucking shitloads at Michael Owen. It's just one of those things you can't legislate for so forget it and move on.
