You wouldn't think so the way our players are performing.
-
We've got 45mins for some fucker to step up and claim the honour. Is anyone there? Anyone?
-
Guthrie, Loven and Nolan have been fairly shit as usual. I really was hoping they would at least stand up and be counted in this one.
-
It's time to go to war
-
They are on their half term holidays so at least they've got all week to do their homework once this game is out of the way.
-
There's too much firepower in that team for Sunderland, can't see them getting any points from it tbh. We need to win because the Man U schoolkids probably won't beat Hull.
-
Haven't heard a single pundit back us to stay up. It would be nice to give them a shck to the system.
-
Not sure about that, most of those players are probably schoolkids. If Hull can't get something from this one at home they'll want shooting.
-
I hope that means we are going 4-3-3, as Loven is hopeless out wide. Anyway we may as well go for broke, Viduka, Ob and Lovenkrands should offer some decent firepower.

For some strange reason I have woke up with this feeling that the players will do us proud today. I don't know why, nothing they've done all season has suggested it but there you go. I just think they will.

After the Fulham game I thought I wasn't going to watch it but I don't know who I was trying to kid. I'll watch it in hope but also to see if any of our players can show some pride in the shirt. Judgement day for a lot of them and even if we go down I'd like to think we'll go down fighting.

Are you out of your tiny mind!?!?! The guy hasn't played a competitive game in months, remember what happened the last time we put him in hoping he'd do well? He conceded a stupid goal at Fulham. Might be worth starting Taylor and Edgar together. Understanding is everything and just as Bassong and Colo have worked well in tandem at times, there's a possibility that Taylor and Edgar could work well off each other.
-
Big point. He's our engine room, he's the one that is meant to drive the team forward and that's never been his game. Butt is a shit player now but he has too much responsibility at this club. Signing Kevin Nolan was one of the worst decisions in recent seasons. The last thing Butt needed at this stage of his career was another slow cart horse alongside him. Must admit I was disappointed with Barton on the few occasions he played this season in that he quite often ended up playing deeper than Butt. No one has stepped up to be our Gerrard/Lampard all season. No one has even tried to be a poor man's version.

Ryan taylor at RB doesn't concern me too much, it's his nautural position, but Colo and Taylor against Carew is the stuff of nightmares. The two of them have looked awful in most games they've played together.
-
He's still too slow across the pitch to compete at the top level though.
-
They're like the only people backing us though. Hull are at home and we are away, I think that's probably going to be crucial. If we had 50,000 roaring us on I could see a win but away from home? A draw is a real possibility and then fingers crossed Man U beat Hull. We're playing an out of form Villa and our other two rivals are playing Manchester United and Chelsea. I reckon that's more crucial. I think Beye and Bassong missing might be even more crucial but let's hope you're right.
-
I'm down for the draw. I think we'll do well to get it as well.
-
Given is out of the way and Harper isn't untouchable in the same way. If it's true that Krul has been chosen as the official no 2 by Shearer, as opposed to alternating with Forster, that is a clear sign that the first team jersey is that much nearer.

Krul should be started in a few games next season, Harper isn't good enough to command the no 1 jersey without challenge. Let them fight for it.
-
Valid point. The fact we rely on someone who's a decade past his prime is why we are where we are but I will give him credit for showing up week after week unlike many of his team mates. He is unbelievably shit though.
-
For all I think he's the most dangerous striker in our squad I don't believe we've had 100% from Oba this season. If he doesn't do the business tomorrow he can fuck off along with Owen next season.
-
Top prospect along with Krul
-
He was lethal in front of goal, with our current lot of midfiielders who couldn't score in an empty net, that's not something that should be under-valued.

It doesn't surprise me that Captain Cunt has spent most of his little energy fighting press allegations concerning only himself tbh. Newcastle Untied's future is probably a side issue for the precious bastard.
