For Joe Kinnear anyone who speaks English as their first language makes them terrific.
-
The sooner Given, Zog and Owen are out of the club the better for me, they are poisoning the atmosphere with their long faces. If it clears the way for enthusiastic replacements we'll be better for it in our current situation at least.

Can't say I didn't see it coming.

Like I said yesterday, the M'Bia and Ebondo links were obviously bullshit, the reality is we have bought Nolan and Ryan, two players who will fit in with Kinnear's fish n' chips management style. -
I'm not 'delighted' with this deal so much as relieved. I wouldn't have gone near Nolan a year ago, but we need a midfielder who scores goals and is ready to play from the first game. If a couple of goals keeps us up then he'll have been worth every penny.
-
Is Martins going to be involved? If he can get some time on the pitch and Nolan is in, it might swing things back our way. I am starting to get pumped for this one now
-
I'd rather have Nolan anyway.
-
Bruce should sell, he could always end up joining him in the summer.
-
Strike Veloso out of the equation and replace with Ebondo and that will be our transfer business in this window I reckon. I seriously doubt that pal. Quit being so sure of your negative self. We'll get another midfielder in as well as a left back and a striker to go with the right back. Wanna bet? If Veloso is valued at £12m I'm pretty certain he won't be coming here.
-
I wouldn't want to pay any more for him though. In our current situation a good signing.
-
Striking crisis, so what? Carroll and Lovenkrands could just do the business

Do a swap deal for Zog and Darren bent and we'll have a strike force capable of worrying the mackem cunts. -
I said that last week, if we can get some sort of a swap deal for Bent and Zog it would suit both clubs, we desperately need a striker, they desperately need a left winger. I think they are taking the piss with the £12m valuation of Bent though. A straight swap or maybe a couple of million extra to them would be about right.

Good bet IMO. He's not the most skilful but he knows where the net is.

Heard its fulham He play's in Nolan's position so it won't be us. Good spot by Roy if Fulham have nabbed him, great bit of business after releasing Bullard. -
The key to this being a good signing would be signing one of those two as well, or Donadel. A total re-vamp of the engine room would be just what the doctor ordered. Unlikely but maybe the sale of Given and Zog might loosen the purse strings.

If they actually bought M'Bia, Donadel or Veloso it would answer that question. -
He can't have been motived for nearly three years then. He hasn't been, some of it is because he has an attitude problem, some of it is because he's been played in defence rather than midfield for a lot of his time here. And the excuses for when he has been played out wide/centrally? I'm not making excuses, I think he's better than Duff so he should have started more. The rest of the midfield has been shit for years I think that's the biggest problem.

Doesn't really matter what Kinnear said tbh, Zog has been angling for a move for ages. The important thing is that we get decent money for him, he's a good player when he's motivated.

Nolan dynamic? If Nolan reaches the opposition penalty area that makes him dynamic in comparison to what we have got -
or they want mbia? and we'll take veloso Bolton have been check-mated, we win either way

If we could get M'Bia or another powerhouse midfielder in alongside Nolan would we start looking like a football team again? It's been so long since we've had a dynamic centre midfield it gives me a headache even contemplating it. -
I think it's likely that we have done a deal with Bolton that they can have Veloso if we got Nolan. We might go back in for M'bia instead I reckon.
