    Take up dominoes or something.
  4. totally agree this fill's me with the most dread Whoever puts Keegan/Shearer in charge will have to back them with money, and if you can buy good players you really have to be a shit manager not to make significant improvement to the team. I would think they'll do ok.
  5. I'm not disgusted in the slightest in this appointment. It's likely to be 6-8 games ffs. I take my hat off to Joe for having the balls and hunger to take this on, and I've always liked him as a person (not in a gay way). He's got a hard job getting much out of this decimated squad but I think he'll have a good go at it. Good luck Joe!

Howard Wilkinson is another miserable bastard from the Pearce/Hoddle camp. Big Joe is more of an 'Appy 'Arry sort. The players will take to him and he will lift the camp. Joe gets my vote

I suspect there's quite a few Toon supporters who would give a limb to have Allardyce back in charge today. fuck off. I'd pay to see him back at Bolton tbh.

Allow me - at least we've got a f***ing manager now. I dont know anything about him to be honest what was he like as a manager? Well it wasn't pretty but he massively over-achieved with a bunch of dirty lumbering cloggers at Wimbledon, although his later roles as manager were pretty unremarkable. Sounds like Big Sam His Wimbledon were the original Bolton of the league. A bit misleading tbh. He took over a team built to play long ball and if anything got them to look a lot better in footballing terms.

Far better option than miserable bastards like Hoddle or Pearce.

I like Joe. I wouldn't want him on a long term basis but for a short term period we could do a lot worse. He's a cheery bloke, he'll lift the players and that's half the battle here tbh.
  14. Dignity, self respect, wants to protect himself from a negative image. Wsan't he quoted as saying he's enjoying himself just recently?

Kinnear tried to get Wimbledon playing more football during his spell in charge IIRC.

    Prefer Kinnear to Hoddle tbh.
  17. Lets demonstrate against a Chines takeover. In case it happens.
  18. Why would he leave, he's getting paid isn't he?
  19. Still a hot prospect. Give him a chance. At 17 years old against one of the league's hottest strikers? No thanks Cacapa will have to do till January Seriously I just threw his name in there because I'm sick of seeing so many clapped out codgers making up half our team. What we really need is a couple of midifelders to provide some legs.
  20. Seems a decent bloke but as a caretaker manager he has been far too cautious, and made some plain daft decisions.
  21. Should have thought about tiny little insignificant things like who was going to manage the side away from relegation before he published the big 'woe is me' statement telling the world of his intention to sell then, perhaps? If the bit about the players having to prompt the move for Venables is true, then those in charge are even more stupid than I thought. Touché. Tbh, the blame game is starting to get on my tits. He should have done this, she shouldn't have done that, etc. There are only two ways forwards from here, one is the club gets sold, the other is appointing a desperate manager like O'Bleary and hoping for a miracle.
