Deserves stringing up for that tbh. What a horrible cunt. Although I admit I was prepared to say that before I even opened the thread.

Let's wait to see how we look with some of our injured players back before we start panicking eh?
-
Spot on. Sick of hearing 'The fans should get behind the players. They need your support.' Bollocks!!! These wankers get paid more than brain surgeons and we're supposed to put an arm around then because they haven't got a proper manager. I've had 6 managers in the past 5 years where I work and not once did I expect 40,000+ people to give me a nice cuddle and pat on the back to get on with things. I also know that if I didn't perform during the transition periods I'd be sacked. GET ON WITH IT YOU BUNCH OF OVERPAID FUCKWITS!!! I agree they need a rocket up their arse and a bit of organisation but i bet its not easy when the club you paying for is falling to bits around and you have NOBS in the crowd booing you. I could have agreed with that before today, but the crowd was pretty good today, especially before we went behind. Sometimes you just have to stand up and be counted, and I don't think a lot of these players have been last few games. Kinnear obviously saw something he didn't like if he's gone in and given them a few verbals before he's even had a chance to say hello to most of them.

If there is a takeover and money is ploughed into the team by the new owners there's always the chance he might want to be a part of it. Look how the mood changed at Man City overnight. I would say that's the only chance he will be here next season.
-
It would be nice if he stayed, but if he would rather leave then goodbye and good luck. Hopefully with new owners in we will spend big and get a worthy replacement.
-
Hard to tell as Supermac these days makes even less sense now he's sober.
-
They've certainly been playing like they've got that attitude since Keegan left, pretty obvious Hughton doesn't hold much sway as a caretaker. With a few players coming back into frame next few games maybe some of them might even start playing for their places if for no other reason.
-
If he was as good with his feet as he is with his arms he'd be world class mind.
-
He might not be noticed as much when Beye and Enrique are back. Both those two tend to bale out the central defenders a fair bit.
-
I voted Duff. He looked a different player in the second half (presumably he got a roasting) but while the others are just shit, Duff should be capable of producing far more. Criminal in my view.
-
Xisco won everything in the air today. He had a far better 2nd half once Duff realised or was reminded he's supposed to be a winger.
-
Guthrie will be the biggest plus. Having to watch two defenders in central midfield has been excruciating.
-
Just switched on Century Radio and Bob Moncur apparently talked to Joe Kinnear after the game and it seems Joe went into the dressing room at half time and gave the players a right rocket up the arse which certainly seems to have had an effect in the second half. Good to see he didn't wait till Monday to introduce himself to a bunch of self-pitying over-paid wasters. Good going Big Joe

Don't really know what more can be done to improve the situation. The club is being sold, new owners are hopefully coming in,Keegan might even be returning and we've even found someone willing to take the job for a month. Its still not a great situation to be in is it? Obviously we are here now so we have to get on with it but its like knocking someones teeth out then saying "Well I am paying your dentist bills so why are you moaning!?". That's ok but when I hear our players moaning about it, sounds like the excuses are already being prepared. I'd far rather he just said "not in our hands we've got a game of football to play and that's what we are concentrating on."
-
He's just looking to get himself back in the shop window and fair play to him for that. Hope he does well and gets a job out of it somewhere when it's over.

If the negative, gloomy reaction of the players to the new appointment is as it's being reported in the press, we will lose. Militant fans still agitating won't help, but at the end of the day it's down to the players, and most of this lot I have very little faith in.

Shearer could be just like Souness, he has the same sort of playing mentality which Souness had as a player and I worry that he might be too arrogant to recognise his own weaknesses. Possibly... but Shearer changed his game as he aged. He knew when it was time to retire. I think Shearer will be well aware of any weakness he has and find a way around them. Are you having laugh!. He should have retired three seasons earlier. Your right, our strikeforce has become amazingly effective now he has gone! The strike force is pretty effective when they are actually fit. Viduka, Martins and Owen have all scored goals when they start, the problem is actually getting them on the pitch. As for Shearer as a manager, I'm not convinced he would take the job even if offered.

Looks like the fans reps are willing us to fail, and some senior players are abandoning ship as well. Raise the white flag lads, well done
-
It could be worse, the future owners could be cockneys.
-
Have they updated their sites then?
-
The Geordie Consortium of North East businessmen will step in to save us at the last hr. Keep the faith.
-
I hope the future owners, Chinese, Irish or Nig.. Numpties aren't reading this.
-
They do say they are the collective voice of the fans after all. Tell them to stop buying pasties from Greggs and drinks from The Irish Bar as well. Keegan/Shearer will need that revenue to finance future wages and transfer fees.

Nothing, just nothing. seconded.
