If he comes in I'll bet I'm right and you're wrong on this one.
-
Would be a very good appointment for that period of time. Not sure he'll take it but he should, if only to put himself back in the shop window. A dodgy character, but I always rated him as a coach.
-
Well that's not likely to change for the next season or two.
-
Having seen a bit more of him, clearly a very good natural defender, but not so comfortable on the ball, very similar to Enrique in that respect. I think he's going to become a very good centre back, and would like to see him start soon alongside Coloccini.
-
He refused to be Keegan's no 2, but he doesn't mind being Lineker's no 2 on MOTD. That's where he should stay IMO.
-
Central midfield is the biggest issue. Barton and Guthrie eating popcorn watching telly at home doesn't help mind. Something I kept trying to point out to the twats celebrating Guthrie's stupid sending off against Hull.
-
I'd rather have Keegan back than that smug bastard.
-
At least he didn't run back towards his own goal today and stand alongside Shay given as the back up keeper.
-
agree. along with one or two others i was disgusted at his performance. not only can he not beat a player, but even when he's ahead of them by 5 yards he stops and turns inside, knowing they'd catch him up anyway. he should just fucking retire. Been saying this for ages mate. When he scored three against Hartlepool I said just watch him crawl up his own backside once the serious games start, and lo and behold...

Zoggy is talented but is a head down player. Put the right players around him and he is useful. However, relying on him to do anymore than put his head down run at people and try to make somethign happen and he will never deliver. Agreed, can we accomodate such a player right now? Its another tough choice, do you play someone who may create a chance out of nothing but who may also end up wasting every attack he is involved in (and don't get me started on the corners) He played a couple of scorching passes when he moved into the centre though. I feel the problem is lack of movement off the ball, the last two games with Butt and Cacapa as central midfielders makes it so easy for the oppostion to bolck off the wide men.

That's the team I picked. Well done Hughton, we might stand a chance now.
-
Just out of interest, what have Greggs or the Irish Bar done to contribute to the growth of Newcastle United that they should get the increased revenue rather than the club?
-
Obviously I hope this happens, but how you can call for someone to "disposing of his interest in the club to somebody/organisation who has the long-term interests of the club at heart" is beyond me. First you are taking hostile action by asking supporters to boycott Asley's business enterprises, then you are asking the same guy to be kind and considerate in picking who he sells the club to?

why would you go mental? why is he so bad? . BECAUSE HE'S TERRY VENABLES. AKA COCKNEY CU... er...fella. Don't care where he's from, he's the most overrated, overblown manager the world has ever seen. I know, but it doesn't change the fact he is a cockney (which is purely incidental I agree). I mentioned it for reference purpose only.
-
Let's hope he really is a toon fan because if he is, what's an extra hundred million or so to a fella with his cash?

arolling monthly contract would be the only option acceptable. The new owners don't want to be sacking him if he's given a 2-3 year contract.
-
Given Taylor Cacapa Colo Bassong Duff Geremi Butt N'Zogbia Owen Martins/Cisco Probably the best we can hope for.
-
It makes no sense if the earlier reports tha the club could be sold by the weekend are true. Is this Ashley final "fuck you" to the toon? I bet he's put a few quid on through some intermediary...
-
Maybe they're trying to do a Freddie Shepherd and blow rival bidders out of the water a la Michael Owen. Still seesm daft like.
-
I hope one of the other parties is Ambani. I am delighted if Keegan is going to be brought back, as long as the new owner is prepared to spend big and keep spending big, because that's the only thing which will keep Keegan from getting restless again in the future.
-
The re-building of the stadium was done by Cameron Hall, a company owned by SJH. I know at the time there was a lot of complaints that other companies hadn't been allowed to bid for the contract. He must have made a fair wedge from that.
-
Both teams are out of form, the deciding factor will be Tottenham's players are younger and faster. There is no way Butt, Cacapa and Geremi will be able to keep up, so I expect them to run the midfield and win the game as a result, although I hope I'm wrong.
-
More importantly, how much money would he bring to the table?
-
Not sure why they would want to build bridges tbh, the club is for sale and Ashley wants out, I doubt he cares about PR or what the fans think anymore. Which is fair enough if he genuinely wants out.
