That's what SJH said about Ashley

Jiminez out, Shepherd's son in. Return of the crack negotiator
-
The way I heard it is that these were very recent events If he comes back, will he be bringing his Luque super scouts and negotiating team with him?
-
Do you honestly think mongs would think that far ahead? Unlike our fanzine spokesmen who not only know how to complain loudly and effectively, but also can provide a working solution I'm sure. I'm positive they're right now working hard to get the new billionaire owners on board by Wednesday
-
Well I'm sure The Dwarf and Jiminez will really still be eagerly scouring the world for potential targets for Newcastle, so you're right HTT, what's the hurry?
-
The main difference is that Keegan can walk away and get on with his life, Ashley's still here until someone buys him out.
-
Apparently the City deal hasn't been signed and sealed yet. There was some mention on Talksport about it.
-
Sadly there's been no other outcome likely since yesterday. Exactly. It's one thing being a hard-nosed businessman, it's another to have your custom base despise you to the extent you can't watch your own team with your family any more. In any case, no financial plan can survive with a business model that doesn't have people pulling in the same direction.

The Indian owner of Reliance group could be picketed at his London headquarters by a team of 10 motivated geordies with a huge banner: AMBANI BRING YER BAJHIS AND BUY SOME MORE ARGIES!
-
IDEA for a Banner... 'ARABS CHANGE YOUR MIND- SELL CITY AND BUY US' That's the spirit

Yakuza are a Japanese gang. Ashley isn't a cockney. Let's be consistent now...
-
Exactly lets go do it, now where did i leave my wallet. Wonder if Milan take mastercard.
-
Having shown the power we can wield as fans, now that Ashley and his cockney cronies have put the club up for sale, it's time for Stage 2 of the action plan. Potential billionaire owners need to be identified and targeted for a vocal, slightly intimidating but peaceful campaign. Groups of 50 fans should mobilise at Shearer's bar on a given date and demand said owner buys the club. If there are 4 billionaires, maybe hold demonstrations on alternate days. Suitable banners and placards could be waved in front of SSN tv crews e.g. for the Chinese consortium, a Cockneys Out, Yakuza IN!! slogan ould be catchy and regionally challenged. More ideas and plans needed. Watch this space.

Wrong, 10s of thousands of people over the course of the club's history have put substantial amounts of their own money into the club - THE FANS. AS for your other comments, great, so its the fans' fault for all this eh. No-one's wish has been granted, a well run club on and off the pitch with a team and manager we can relate to and talk about. That I believe is the real kind of wish we all hoped for, no? Well put HTT. The fans wanted him out and they are the customers so they are right. Now we need to put our concerted efforts into demanding a mega-billionaire buys the club and appoints a manager we can relate to.
-
This will probably go over the heads of a fair few, but it might make any new owner think twice about ploughing money into a club where he'll be treading on eggshells in case the fans turn and his investment turns to shite. It will need an owner with a big transfer kitty available every year to start with.
-
Shame he can't watch the matches with his kids any more on a personal note. Other than that I am concerned how the club will be run until we get another buyer. Are the cockney mafia still going to be putting 100% into unearthing new talent when they know they are despised and living on borrowed time?
-
Another example of the True Faith and Mag fanzines failure to think through the consequences of their call to arms.
-
There's always going to be an underlying hatred for Ashley though, just ready to bubble up as soon as we hit a rocky patch. I don't see how we can operate like this long term. Best if he just sells up and fucks off imo.
-
It doesn't mean he'll do it again, when he walked over funds last time he'd been promised that he'd get money which wasn't handed over. Can't imagine him being happy managing without major funds though. Keegan's only ever took club jobs where he's had access to some decent cash for transfers.
-
That just suggests his signings have been better this time round, added to the fact he took over a squad much better than the shit team he left at Birmingham. It doesn't necessarily mean he knows how to set out a side to play good football in particular.
-
Hmmm...according to Brian MackemNally in the Mirror, the price is £260m. No one's got a fucking clue in other words
-
He looks a bit more than neat and tidy, he was looking to make quite incisive passes from what I saw, and isn't he supposed to have a few goals in him as well? My only reservation is how mobile is he? None of our central midfielders are particularly quick these days and it's a quality we badly miss.
-
It goes up £50m by the day. He's going to put the club up for sale this week at £350m according to the Sunday Mail.
-
Even if he did quit, at least the fans would be willing to give a new manager a chance if KK quit for no good reason. The only way for Ashley to go is to bring him, back, relegate Wise's role to a minor one, and give Keegan control of signings with a reasonable budget of around £20m or more and trust him to spend it wisely. We can't move on until Keegan's had his final fling.
