As many suspected. If Ashley was sticking by his men, it hardly translates as begging does it? What fucking garbage.
-
oh dear oh poo diddly.
-
Some credit would have to go to Ashley for making the u turn, it would take some dent in his pride to do that. Probably shitting bricks about the Hull game. I doubt he's made a U-turn, he's probably just trying to find a solution to a conflict between his employees. No, he let Keegan leave, therefore a u-turn You can't stop someone from resigning mate.
-
I hope you're right. If thousands kicking off will lead to a new owner buying out Ashley and the new owner pumps in millions, it will all have been worthwhile.
-
A new manager can be appointed. A new owner can't, he has to want in badly enough. We can't protest or demand a new owner in Please be aware of that.
-
Ashley obviously hasn't changed his stance so what other reason can you think of for having the meeting? You've deleted the relevant part of the conversation so what is it you want me to reply to?
-
If Keegan is prepared to share the losses of any transfer dealings he has complete control over, then definitely Ashley should compromise.
-
Well I suppose he was bringing his legal team to try and secure £8m compensation then. It's probably the best way of keeping his Soccer Circus going a bit longer.
-
I've answered why, if further dicussions were planned then why not say so without going into details. Tonights talks were not announced but news got out, I think this looks like an attempt to stop any protests, nothing more. Yes well this would be a good way of doing that wouldn't it?

LMA seem pretty quick to publicise negative news. You would think if they want a satisfactory conclusion they would shut the fuck up until it's agreed one way or the other.

Please don't post anything as definitive as that without a source. I'm sure there is at least one poster on here with a heart condition. If KK has met Ashley in London and the media have wind of it, it is from a club source. A meeting between the 2 would not take place unless his reappointment was on the agenda. They would have nothing civilised to talk about KK i believe, is our manager I tend to agree, but don't post it as if it's breaking news, which was how it looked. All we know is that they have had a meeting. We don't know if that has resolved the issues as yet, but my gut instinct is it probably has. I firmly believe that KK must have been at least 90% in favour of returning if he was to even meet Ashley in London. I know for a fact he's 100% in favour of returning. I would assume this meeting would be to decide on what terms it could happen, and that could still be a sticking point. At least they are meeting face to face which should help.

Well they'll need someone to run to the chippy.
-
ooh err....

No. Never thought Ashley was the devil incarnate, and never thought Keegan was infallible. I would love it if everything gets worked out.
-
News of the meeting was leaked by a club source. There's no way they would want attention on the meeting unless there's a good chance KK's coming back, or at least we will be pulling out all the stops to make it happen. how do you know it was a club source? The story broke on SSN, and David Craig claimed that his sources had extremely reliable contacts from within the club.

Words fail me tbh.

Explain. Can't recall Poyet ever having done anything to deserve distaste as a person The fans would prefer someone with a feel for the club. Like Gazza maybe.
-
If they're haggling now over the price of the club, I don't think they'll be much different to Ashley when it comes to doing deals for transfer targets. Not exactly the Abu Dhabi type approach is it?
-
I think it's quite sensible to have a cooling off period. After Keegan walked out there was mass hysteria, and most people here didn't even want to discuss anyone else as a replacement. I said a few days back that a preiod without a manager will give the arseholes a chance to see how stupid it is to let a club drift. Unfortunately because of the recent turmoil, it's not a great time for a new guy coming in. it makes sense to let everyone cool off, get their counter-productive, ill-thought out protests out of the way, then we can look to move forward hopefully.

Looking to buy the club on the cheap by the looks of it. I never thought Ashley would just cave in tbh.
-
That's basically it yes. If a business is set up to be cost effective, you aren't going to fire those people who are working according to the blueprint ( which I assume Wise and Jiminez are). I'm sure KK was hired on the basis he was popular with the customers but if his demands are unworkable, or beyond the financial means set out, then what difference does it make how popular he is with customers?

Watch them buy Everton instead.
