Joelinton and Almiron are playing fantastic stuff but neither of them strike the ball that convincingly. I think that's where we are not quite hurting them as much as we could.

We are playing great stuff apart from the bit where we actually apply the finishing touch. Lack of killer instinct letting one or two down.

Every time I see Joelinton walking out with that bandage round his right hand I keep getting images of him clocking an opponent at some point during the 90 mins.

Garnacha looks pretty good as well even if you take his goal of the century out of the equation. They have bought a few good players even if they aren't quite fully cooked yet.

Agree. I don't get to many games these days, but when I do, it invariably seems like there's just a few of the younger crowd singing surrounded by the older gits who are sat on their hands like they are watching Coronation Street. When I was going in my teens and 20's there was smaller crowds ( we were shit ) but everyone was jumping. People can criticise the plastic fans of PSG, but they never stopped singing even after they went behind.

Yeah you could see us physically tiring as the game went on. The will was there but the legs gave out. Felt particularly for Gordon who was trying desperately to cover every blade of grass but all those games just took the edge off his attacking prowess.

He's a brilliant footballer like, far better than we could have dared hope. It's got so that you would be weakening the side considerably if you left him out.

You missed the best part of the match, we were magnificent in the first half. PSG were coming at us, but we defended superbly, and most gratifying for me personally, when we won the ball we were bringing the ball out with some skill and hitting them hard on the counter. Even the commentators on BT were saying we had controlled the game. PSG looked well flustered. Tino, Trips, Miggy and Bruno were all superb in that spell, so was Pope when they did get through.

See I don't think we were riding our luck at all. We defended heroically and they were looking pretty desperate by the end. The only way they were scoring was if VAR intervened, and that's how it happened. Ruined one of the greatest nights of football for me in recent memory.

Without a penalty they were never scoring. That's how we were robbed.

We got robbed in the end. PSG were never winning that without some outside help. I was nervous about them scoring a last minute goal but at least I wished they had earned it.

This has to be one of the great perfornaces from a Newcastle team of all time. We might not get through it, but they'll need some luck or special moment to break us down.
