Fair point. Tbh it might actually be a good sign that it's gone really quiet on that front, could well be stuff getting thrashed out behind the scenes as I don't think he'll want to stay there as second choice.
-
It's more likely to end up just being a train wreck let's be honest. Nice effort though Mike. Speaking of which, do you need a mic to record your voice on this site? I haven't had one connected to a device in years, but feel it's only polite to ask even though I have no intention of uploading anything.
-
Speaking of full backs, our most pressing need is still surely a left back? Or are we happy to go with Burn/Targett for another season? What happened to all the talk of Tierney?
-
Still doesn't solve the conflict though. Neither the crowd or the player would be 100% sure what's actually being sung so it would probably end up being a mish-mash of both. Even if it hasn't been sung in years, pretty sure most in the ground would recognise it.
-
He does look a cracking player as well, would be a massive upgrade on Krafth.
-
That's actually the worst option because no one, including Tonali will know for sure whether we are singing Ton-ali! or Toon army! Guaranteed half the crowd will end up singing the latter.
-
Yeah I really like what I've seen. Would be disappointed to miss out on him, looks a cracking full back already. Hope we can find a way to make it happen.
-
That's not bad but the last line would probably make him put in a transfer order.
-
He gets a pass from most people because he's obviously a big fan, but I don't want to watch or listen to clueless fan opinion when I tune into a podcast/video to get updates or opinions on Newcastle. Fair play to those who get off on it, but there's far better ones out there, and for me the only ones I am interested in are those who actually have some genuine football insight.

You're too edgy for this lot Mike. They all probably think Adam P's Tonali chant is great as well, the dopey bastards.
-
It's literally the worst chant I've ever heard in any form of sport.
-
Tbf I haven't seen him since the Euros either, I'm basing my high opinion of him on his performances then. He looked like the finished article, the type of player who wins big games.
-
I don't know if we'll be able to get Chiesa (but I'll take him all day long) but the idea of loan deals has made me think we might still be able to land a couple of high quality players with a loan to buy deal. I'm pleased we are considering it if it's true.
-
Was watching his highlights video again over the weekend, looks raw, but like he's already capable of causing mayhem in a cameo appearance. Very powerful and direct, and got some great footwork to get past people.
-
At least they aren't saying "he was shit anyway, we never wanted him!" Fair play, good to see one or two others saying for the same price he's a better player than Mount. Someone actually said he's comfortably better than Rice as well. Not sure about that, but I'll take it.
-
They will when they see us still dominating midfields where other soopah clubs have spent zillions to try and stomp us back down again.
-
I dunno like, I kind of liked the mind-bending crassness of the 8mosphere one. You guys are so vanilla.
-
Same. While I've always backed Gordon even before his goals in the U-21 tournament, I still think we need some proven quality down the right. Only because I haven't seen enough of what Gordon will produce in that position.
-
The disrespect he ended up getting at Arsenal seems even more absurd now. Fair play to Arteta for taking them on a level, but feels like Emery was caught at the worst period trying to turn them round from a period of decline, not sure Arteta would have fared any better if he'd stepped in at that point.
-
Think this guy was designed to be a Newcastle player. Wears his heart on his sleeve, and as a fervent Milanista, he will be the all or nothing type who'll love the tribalism of Newcastle fans.
-
Tbf, from what I've seen of him he looks good enough to play in most PL first teams on a regular basis. On that basis I don't blame him at all for not wanting to be back up to anyone....even Kieron Trippier.
-
So would you say that a right sided forward isn't really a priority in the transfer market?
