Do you think we would go for Pedro over Ekiteke now bearing in mind we seemed really keen on bringing Hugo here over two windows? Personally think Pedro would be a better fit, but we did seem to really rate the French lad.

Clinton Morrison is an absolute fucking doylem.

A little from column A, a little from column B. Just whichever one which looks like it will go our way tbh, although the title shoot out will need constant checking assuming Arsenal don't fold within the first 15 mins.

Yeah what a miserable bastard he used to be, but he's magic now, all is forgiven. Only thing I didn't like so much about the NUFCTV highlights was the crowd noise seemed slightly turned down than the Sky coverage, which I thought would have been the other way round. But might just be Sky having obviously better equipment.

Nice, that came up on my feed a few times but I haven't watched it, so will look for it now.

Yep. We've had outstanding performances this season from the likes of Almiron, Murphy, Willock and Longstaff, but that doesn't mean they are suddenly £60m players. The elite level players have that extra bit of polish and class. But they might not bring the heart and intensity that the current lads give you, so they would have to be the right characters to improve this squad.

I don't fancy West Ham much tbh. Seems like they always give other teams a hard time but save all their mistakes for Liverpool. Still, maybe they got four of them out of the way against us.
-
That was great. He also had some really big praise for Howe as well, not hard to see how some of our not so great players have doubled in value under his coaching when you read the interview.
-
Not just that, we'll be wary of being over-confident after what happened against Villa, not to mention at Goodison last year. Howe will know the dangers of this fixture and will not let complacency rear it's head. If anything the Everton fans expectations of bringing us down makes it look like they are the ones setting themselves up for a fall. I'll be disappointed if we don't bring back all three points tbh.
-
Fair point. He'll soon join the ranks of former PFMs ditched by the wayside. Maybe he'll get a job on Soccer Saturday or something.
-
This. Moyes can spaff on about wanting £500m if he likes, but they won't want to be holding onto a player entering the last year or two of his contract. Either he signs a new one, or they have to bite their lip and take the money which they will be lucky to get half of what he's talking about.
-
More likely to be a bunch of 55yr olds sadly.
-
Still feel somewhat guilty for offloading Wood and Shelvey onto Forest, to think that would be worth more than £20m to us as well if you include wages. Feels almost criminal.
-
Arsenal are also one of the few sides who outplayed us this season, even if we got a draw from it. Can't see Everton going toe to toe with us and coming out on top. They'll have to turn it into a dogfight to have any chance.
-
I think we'll have more time to play our game as they don't press like Villa, they'll sit back and hope to hit us on the break. But again, I don't think they've got anyone like Watkins who really gave us a hard time with his pace. They aren't going to beat us with their crowd hostility, whatever their glue-sniffing fans think.

I don't listen to podcasts, but sometimes watch Loaded and The Toon Review on youtube, the Loaded lads seem to know their football, or at least Pete does, and the others are canny. The stats lad Alex is the main reason I watch the Toon Review, he's great. I still have a soft spot for the True Faith show as well, unlike most on here. I know they are just chatting shit, but Charlotte and Hirst do bounce off each other pretty well, and it makes me laugh usually.
-
I'd take a draw but I'd be secretly devastated that we didn't win.
-
Not to mention we were showing this same form second half of last season as well, so it's just who we are now, not really over-achieving at all. You can have one spawny season maybe, but this is over a year of rock solid performances, and the football's getting better if anything.
-
Fuck me, you wouldn't think this lot are still in a relegation scrap. Delusional pricks.
-
I remember before he signed there was some talk about Botman being slow, so I was surprised to see him show a decent turn of pace when getting run at in one game last season. I think he's quicker than he's given credit for.
-
He's had a great early record in the PL, seems to have dipped in the last couple of seasons. Obviously hasn't worked out at Spurs, but he's still doing very well for Brazil so I doubt he's turned to shit overnight.
-
Think it might be something along the lines of this approach. I doubt we'll be able to attract 3 absolute world class blue chip players in one window, we still won't have the pull of Barcelona or Man City yet. But if we can we'll probably go for it. We seem to have our targets already ear-marked long term, if and when they become available we'll get them.
-
I meant hindsight on my part, at the time I wasn't thinking, that's a shit move, he should avoid that one. From his side he obviously thinks he's top man and would become that at Spurs as well.
-
Not happy that DCL is back for this one, but hopefully he's lost his edge after being out so long. Not arsed about the intimidating atmosphere, after the Villa debacle we won't go into this one with a casual attitude.
