  1. Also what makes him such a good striker tbh. He's Brazil's no 1 striker, he has a proven pedigree in the premier as well. It looks like petulance, but he should probably be at a club where he's first choice. Spurs was a poor choice in hindsight.
  2. Yep, felt like we got robbed that night, and really they would have been out of the CL running without those 3pts.
  3. Still feel slightly cheated we didn't get a 7th though, given our traditions of handing out 7-1 thrashings to Spurs. Especially as we were 5-0 inside 21 mins.

    Fabian Schär

He's a class performer, and yesterday was no exception, but he got done badly by Kane for their goal. He was a bit isolated mind, but still thought he shouldn't have got passed so easily.

    Joelinton

He's also not the greatest striker of the ball, a lot of his goals are similar to yesterday's. Not sure he's cut out for international football, but he bosses the PL. Obviously for his sake I would love to see him get in the side and do well.
  6. Being a massive cunt has done him well in that regard. He just passes the buck to whichever chump is manager.
  7. We still have Krafth on the books, he'll do as a back up to Tripps. Maybe we'll move Manquillo on.
  8. Did Spurs sack him or was that us?

    Anthony Gordon

He gets massive support at the ground mind, and that's where it counts, not online message boards. He just needs to be patient and wait his chance, Murphy has the shirt at the moment, Gordon will get plenty of minutes before the end of the season to stake his claim.

    Alexander Isak

It always looks like he shouldn't score from those angles, but he manages to find the inside of the posts every time. Look at his two belters at Anfield as well.

    Joelinton

Do Brazilian fans even know he plays in midfield these days? Their dancing manager seemed pretty oblivious of Joelinton before he got dumped.

Darwin Nunez was the striker everyone wanted in the summer (after Haaland obviously) but looks like we actually got the better one. I'm sure Nunez will turn out to be decent in time, but I can't see his finishing being anywhere near as good as Isak. Centre forwards are the most difficult and most expensive players to buy, we have struck gold here.

    Joe Willock

Actually seen glimpses of outrageous skill all season tbh, it's one of the reasons I was never that critical, even when he's been missing chances. At least once a game he will do something jaw-droppingly good, whether it's a reverse pass, dummy or just an absolute pearler of a ball like yesterday. It doesn't always come off, but Howe is clearly encouraging him to express himself and he's not far off becoming an outstanding talent. What Howe has drilled into him is incredible work rate which means he's an asset even when he's not making every pass or shot.
  14. It's daft but I still can't help feeling Liverpool are the only obstacle left to the CL now. I know they aren't likely to win every game, but they have gone on mad winning runs before, and they do have some crazy talent up front. That said, if I'm putting money down on who gets that final slot it's us every time.
  15. This actually holds true for a lot of our players, many of which we would happily have sold a year ago. Murphy and Miggy for example, both would bring in decent money now, but would Eddie let them go if we need to free up space for new signings? Very difficult one this, as they are ideal squad players, but we might have to sell to buy. It helps that the players mentioned must have doubled their values over this season. All down to Howe.

    Match Atmosphere

Agree with this tbh, and I say this knowing some of my own new rich family are going to these games when they don't have the slightest fucking clue what is going on. But I guess this is how it always starts so maybe we have to accept this as a natural progression.
  17. Honestly feels more like the Keegan era, the value of our players rose exponentially while he was given free reign.

    Joelinton

Wow, that first touch was magnificent, but just watching the whole thing back on MOTD2, what a fabulous finish as well. There was still plenty to do once he brought it under control, he rounded the keeper perfectly, you see many strikers fluff that part.

    Alexander Isak

It's almost a crime that price. Must be worth double that and counting.
  20. Fair play like you've been calling out Spurs for being shit for months now.
  21. Yeah he was clearly not all there, but fair play to him, showed some balls to keep going on national tv and had me laughing by the end. He's a fucking character like.

    Sean Longstaff

Maybe we were looking at signing McTominay as his understudy.

    Joe Willock

He should have put that chance away like. Next season he's going to hit double figures to make up for the ones he's missed this time round.
  24. Two goals? What the actual fuck? Seriously didn't even want him in the squad a year ago, now he's an integral part of a CL squad. Eddie Howe, we salute you.

    Joelinton

He can look so good at moments like that, it's hard to believe he was considered a joke signing at one point.
