Fully expect to see him at West Ham playing for Fat Sam next year. Delighted it's all gone tits up for him at Liverpool.

Guy on SMB who said "Catts for me like" for me like.

Wormy'd be shite on another forum. We made him what he is, think he'd struggle to adapt elsewhere. Still, if the offer was right I'd get rid. Plenty of potentially quality posters out there, I'd trust Andy and Dave to find a superior replacement.
-
Report to be trousered by Dave no doubt.

I'll sell your face for a profit wormy you cunt.

Aye, in order of priority I'd like. Full back Centre half Winger/striker type Central midfielder Our policy does seem to place a lot of emphasis on getting value for money though. If we feel Anita can be gotten at what we think is a good price I won't be surprised if he's brought in before we've strengthened other more pressing positions. We saw last August with our failure to sign a striker and in January with no CB coming in that we won't pay over the odds for players, even if it leaves us short.

Cissokho and Santon seem like similar sort of prospects. All the raw materials are there for them to be top class full backs, but fulfilling that potential is another story. Wouldn't want Santon leaving though, he was in decent form towards he end of last season and should be first choice to start the season this year, I'd be optimistic about his form this year. Would be intrigued by Bojan though, could play anywhere across the front three and is still young with scope to improve. Kind of player we should be after IMO.

Lahm can play either side though so with Alaba doing well they're sorted.

Eat shit and die you rat motherfucker. He's quality. He's just bad at doing the right thing. Fuck you Shak. I respect the effort, have to say. You don't tend to come out with very strong opinions on football, then you burst in here with a "I think Obertan is brilliant!" post. Game changer. Absolute dickhead. I'm sticking with my fellow American on this Holy day. Obertan could be good if he wasn't such an idiot. I don't disagree with that, I just think it's the equivalent of saying that Jonas would be one of the best players in the league if he had a great final ball and chipped in with 10-15 goals each season. It's not going to happen.

Sack the arguably best manager in the league? No thanks. Your last trophy...... Your last proper trophy? http://www.american-buddha.com/abatman38f.jpg

How many players all of a sudden just take massive mental leaps though? You tend to either have good decision making or you don't in my opinion, you can improve it a bit but it's mostly an innate thing. Obertan can improve, of course he can, but he'll always be a headless chicken to some extent I would expect.

Classic baldy folk sticking together post, that.

Wanker, hope he ends up doing shite if he goes to City.
-
Hoilett would be a great addition to the squad. Could play either side of the attacking trio, has loads of pace and scores goals. It'd be like having a good version of Obertan.
-
Think the experience at Chelsea will have done him a lot of good, hope he does shite but I expect he'll do a good job there.

De Jong will have played in a front 3 for most of his footballing education and all of his time in the first team at Twente. Last season was the first time he has been the main central striker, having played in the wide areas previously. Having somebody who can play flexibly and naturally in a front 3 while also being a main centre forward would be far better option for us than finding somebody who can just play wide, IMO, particularly when we're thin on the ground in terms of genuine strikers in January. Encouraging stuff, didn't know he could play in the wider roles too.
-
Outrageous logic. Aye. We shouldn't have paid 4.5m for Cabaye last summer I suppose. We got a quality player in Tiote for 2.5m, no reason to ever pay more than that for a CM again!
-
I'd actually prefer if we bought a player who can play either side of the front three in a 4-3-3. That seems to be the system that most of our players are best suited to, so I'm hoping we'll try and add new players with that in mind. De Jong seems to be more of a central player from what people are saying about him, I'm not sure if he'd fit in as part of our 4-3-3, though I assume Pardew and Carr know what they're doing.

Actually thought the final was brilliant in the end. Spain were incredible, particularly in the first half. It was their usual style of play, only with much more urgency in the final third. It was the team they should be every game. Italy were actually really good, they brought the ball out from the back well and looked reasonably threatening. They were just undone by two absolutely brilliant goals by an amazing side. Shame about the the Motta injury, think they were still in with a shout until that.

Dyer at Goodison in the league. Broke out from his own half, lovely flick over the lunging last defender and then a lovely side footed lob over the keeper to finish.

Aye, loads of people getting all worked up over something Stifler said.
