Divide the starting lineup into the following groups. Krul, Williamson, Jonas, Cabaye, Guthrie. Simpson, Perch, Tiote, Ba, Cisse. Just before kick-off have them line up facing each other, then walk towards each other and shake hands. Ben Arfa can just do some skills or something in the background. Would be a touching moment.

Get some relative of Rosa Parks to be a half time hero as well, and play some speeches by Marthin Luther King and Malcolm X as the players are running onto the field too.

Genuinely thought we were in a Chinese restaurant, never occurred to me that we wouldn't be. I was led there by the others, not my fault at all.

What the fuck was he doing saying that anyway, how the fuck did he not know that'd get him in serious shit?

"What would you like, sir?" "Sweet and sour chicken please." "This is an Indian restaurant, sir." *looks at Dave for help, Dave looks away* "Oh right... em... chicken vindaloo so."

Ah right, should be class then. Just meet up with a bunch of lads from the forum, force one of them to let you stay at their house, sit in the Gallowgate and go out and get hammered afterwards. Worked a charm for me when I went over.

I've heard Stoke is an absolute kip full of cunts. Best of luck all the same.

Dern kids and their newfangledery!

How is it grumpiness to say something that is clearly not funny... is not funny? They're in every fucking post on here and it's bloody tedious! I just know you'll have taken one look at them and decided "right, I don't like the look of these things, I'm deciding here and now that they're all shite". Can fully understand not liking them btw, just you do tend to be a bit cynical.

Sky+ it if you have it. Otherwise go for a drink where the game is on. Everybody wins.

Horrible creature, football would be so much better off without anti-football tossers like him.

Would anyone not swap Liverpool's season (on the pitch) for ours like? If they hadn't won a cup and weren't still going strong in the FA Cup as well then maybe we could gloat a bit. But the move has been a good one for him in all honesty, looks fairly small time to be having a dig at him, such an easy comeback for him given that he has a medal to his name since leaving us.

"comedy faces" Wullie has never been a bag of flowers like, bless him.

You sure he was Irish like? Never heard an Irish person use the word "pooftas" in my life.

Will look like awful stupid cunts if they beat us like. He also has won a trophy there and his team are in the FA Cup semi finals as well. That and the massive pay rise he likely got would make it hard to argue that his move was a bad decision tbh, even if the quote turned out to be a heap of rubbish.

Agreed, which says anyone saying Barcelona is a one man team is absolutely f***ing daft. (although I do feel the debate whether who is better between him and Zidane is interesting) As I like to say, Messi sits on the throne that Xavi builds for him. In my opinion, even if Messi is clearly the focus of our team, we need both. But if you had to lose one of them for a season or so, there's no doubt who you'd choose surely? Fabregas could do a very serviceable job filling in for Xavi I would have thought, but I can't think of a single player (and not just in Barca's squad, take any player in the world) that could even come close to filling in Messi's role in the team.

They're the same type of player, Xavi is just that bit better at everything than Alonso. No way Alonso is as good man.

Aren't Liverpool irrelevant to us in terms of the league? If they finish 6th and we finish 7th don't we still make the Europa League as long as Everton don't make the cup final?

I'm sure we had a similar debate (Zizou vs whoever) last summer, where it was proclaimed that Xavi is better than Zidane ever was What, me and you? Far as I'm aware this is the first time we've ever spoken to each other outside the NFL thread.

Huh?

Unless they offer to double his wages like.

You do have to take into account just how good this Barcelona team is on the whole when rating the likes of Messi, Xavi and Iniesta against the other best players of our time IMO. Their style of football allows them so many chances to showcase what they can do on the ball, I've never seen a team quite like them. Xavi is a marvelous player but to say that Zidane wasn't in his league is silly, he was a wonderful player and was the best in the world for a few years there. That said Messi is definitely the best I've ever seen by a mile, neither Ronaldo is/was as good as him and I don't think it's at all close tbh. Xavi and Iniesta are fantastic but take one of them away and Barca would still keep going along at something close to the same level. Those two can be replaced, not to quite the same level but enough to keep being this Barca team going along the way it is. Take Messi out and they go from being possibly the greatest club side ever to just another very good one IMO. There's just nobody who can even touch him.
