If he leaves for Spurs or Liverpool I'll be very disappointed quite frankly. Would be willing to give Ireland a go, there's a good player in there somewhere for sure and if it's a relatively low cost deal then it's worth the risk IMO because the payoff would be tremendous if he gets his head together.

Limited footballer that shouldn't be viewed as anything more than a squad player moving forward, would start Taylor ahead of him every time given the choice. Decent backup if he's happy to be a squad player though.

I wouldn't be too thrilled with the idea of spending our limited funds on a 4th choice CB, but you have to figure if we bring him in that they think he has the potential to eventually force his way into the first team and be more than just a reserve. Ideally we'd get in a quality striker, but would rather spend the money on a CB with long term value to us than on a striker who we'll need to upgrade on in the summer. Still would like Keane on loan for the rest of the year if at all possible.

Jonas is a terrible crosser of the ball though, at least playing on the left he is at least some sort of threat to cut inside and run at the heart of the opposition defense with the ball on his stronger side.

Put in a decent shift yesterday to be fair to him, still don't see anything to suggest he's got anything significant to offer us at this level though. Problem with him is that he doesn't have anything in his game that really worries teams, no standout quality that has to be accounted for. Better than some of the other options we have at the moment though, for sure.

Then were will Nolan go? Can see HBA replacing Jonas. Nolan and Tiote in CM, Ben Arfa playing in the hole behind Carroll.

Had forgotten about that tackle against Everton, was horrendous. Still, have to eat a bit of humble pie in regards to Nolan. Still not someone I want as a fixture in the side for years to come or anything like that, but he's scored some massive goals for us this year and has easily been one of our most important players. Fair play to him.
