  1. Don't see what KD has said wrong in this instance at all tbh. Reckon they'd take Taylor if he was going as well, but there's no glaring ommisions other than that and including Oba is pretty generous given their options up front.
  2. Cacapa, probably. But it's not just Butt Faye will be competing with, it's Geremi, Smith, Barton and Emre. All vying for 3 places, be very surprised if Faye is first choice at all. He'll be a utility player, able to fill in at CB, RB and DM. He'll get plenty of action, anyway, but won't be first choice IMO.
  3. That's not cool. And to think, this guy is the pick of the bunch on here so far.
  4. Wahey... Best get to bed mate, school night and all that.
  5. Why are the club not interested in helping you, then?

  7. Afraid so, though that's in Euro's if that eases your mind at all. Badly needed a new set of irons for a long time, may as well pay a few hundred extra and get some top ones that'll last me a good decade or so. I play an awful amount and I'm fairly good tbh so it's a worthwhile investment for me. tut tut tut.. there are kids in africa that can't even afford new golf clubs. think of how terrible their swing must be. extravagant bastid That Ernie Els has been doing alright for himself.

  11. Just today applied for a loan of a grand. Which I'll be using to buy some custom-fit, sexy as fuck new... Golf clubs.
  12. Rich is finding his smile. Squad complete now, looks like Sam has been allowed get all the players he felt he needed. Remembering now some of Allardyce's comments when we were being linked with big-name players earlier in the summer, said something to the effect of 'We need to build a squad, and if he (Ashley) wants to buy me a Galactico after that I won't complain.' I'm absolutely delighted with this entire transfer window now, but I can dream can't I?
  13. Squad depth really paying off, or should be. All will be challenging for spots, but aside from Beye I don't see any of them as being a whole lot better than the alternatives, assuming everyone is fit.
  14. Already been made hasn't it? Man U away, think we'll beat them.
  15. Great news this, seems a player Allardyce really wanted all summer. I'd given up on him, really looking forward to seing him in action now if it goes through. Another bigger, more physical full-back too. No more getting bummed from set-pieces. Thought this was the fastest growing thread ever for a minute, uber-threadness gone mad I tells ya.
  16. Surprised at Keane, thought he'd have a bit more bottle with his purchases. Only really gone for good, hardworking, low-risk/low-potential types so far as I can see. The exception is Richardson, I suppose... and you know he'd not have touched him if he didn't know him from Man U.

    Favourite match

Live and in person, the second 4-3 at Anfield where we were 3 down, came back to level then lost it at the death. At St. James' Park, either the 0-0 with Villa a few weeks back or the 2-1 loss to Fulham last year. And I've been to others... On TV, the 5-0 no doubt.

    Darijo Srna

How do you know that? I've tried googling his FM stats but no joy thus far.
  19. He's brought him in because he predominantly wants to play 4-3-3 and will need 3 CM's. So with only Butt, Geremi, Barton and Emre in the squad, bringing in Smith makes sense. That he can also play up front is a bonus. Never seen such a blatantly obvious squad signing cause so much mass confusion tbh. (Not really directed exclusively at you mate ) everyone seems to be pushing for n'zogbia to be in the midfield thought and by all means he is NOT a central midfielder, winger all the way Agree, I'd play him on the left of the 4-3-3 every single time myself, think he'll be a star there given the chance.

  21. Butt and Geremi are solid enough in CM. With those two in tandem, I would have thought Smith would be given far more license to drive forward than has been the case so far. I think he has tbh, he's just not particularly good at driving forward though.
  22. Utility player. Can play a number of positions to a decent level, you know you're always going to get 100% effort when you put him in there and he'll add a bit of bite to your team. I'm happy to have him here, he's nothing spectacular but he's solid and will help to generally make us a better club as he's a good pro by all accounts. We also desperately needed to stop being such a soft touch in CM, and he'll help with that.
